Senior Claims Specialist (m/f/d) – Claims CEE Aviation
We are looking for a Senior Claims Specialist (m/f/d) to join the department Aviation Claims CEE at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) in Munich. ~crlf~ ~crlf~Reporting to the Head of Aviation Claims CEE, you will be responsible for proactively direct / investigate, negotiate and resolve high exposure claims, involving complex issues and/or litigation for the designated accounts in claims aviation. You will also be responsible for driving third party service providers to achieve economical results and to provide a high quality service to all internal and external customers. Furthermore you also expected to act as a kind of mentor and contribute to the development of new team members. It means an acting as a technical referral point for other claims handlers is expected.
In this role you will…~crlf~ ~crlf~##Direct investigation of multi-faceted, high exposure domestic and international claims that involve complex issues and/or litigation~crlf~##Act as first point of contact on major claims for the aviation line of business in order to assess damage areas, potential exposures to AGCS business and provide guidance to insureds to identify ways to mitigate losses~crlf~##Proactively evaluate and address coverage issues and determine appropriate reserving levels~crlf~##Negotiate and resolve high exposure, complex claims ensuring cost effective, service orientated solutions~crlf~##Manage external lawyers while performing coverage analysis and resolution strategies, including development and implementation of defense strategies on litigated claims~crlf~##Ensure all claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AGCS claims procedures and guidelines~crlf~##Support establishment of claims management procedures on new business accounts in association with clients, brokers and loss adjusters~crlf~##Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business ~crlf~##Represent AGCS externally to the market~crlf~##Proactively drive involvement of functional areas in Claims handling process~crlf~##Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. third party adjusters)~crlf~
##Preferably a degree in Law or other appropriate discipline (i.e. economics).~crlf~##Specialized understanding or experience of aviation coverages and portfolio are an advantage. ~crlf~##An economic understanding and solution orientated practice in the daily work.~crlf~##Specialized understanding of regional aviation insurance markets and competitor landscape~crlf~##Well recognized relationship building with brokers at peer group level~crlf~##Good understanding of legal and regulatory framework~crlf~##Claims Handling: knowledge of claims handling process from notification to settlement and recovery~crlf~##First language in German is preferred and fluent in English is a condition~crlf~##Clearly and effectively express ideas and messages via speech or writing~crlf~##Ability to negotiate best position for AGCS, and client, often in contentious situations, managing conflicting priorities of various parties~crlf~##Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze, study or examine data in detail, and draw appropriate conclusions~crlf~
