##Support development claims LoB strategy to ensure profitable growth and a strong market position.~crlf~##Proactively produce effective data and analyses to support complex decision making.~crlf~##Drive excellence in claims handling service provided to brokers, clients and internal customers.~crlf~Investigation and Reserving of Claims:~crlf~##Direct investigation of multi-faceted, high exposure domestic and international claims that involve complex issues and/or litigation, in loss ranges excess of one million Euros.~crlf~##Act as first responder on Catastrophe claims to assess damage areas, potential exposures to AGCS business and provide guidance to insureds to identify ways to mitigate losses.~crlf~##Proactively evaluate and address coverage issues and determine appropriate reserving levels.~crlf~##Select and direct independent external service providers (e.g. Loss Adjusters).~crlf~Settlement:~crlf~##Negotiate and resolve high exposure, complex claims ensuring cost effective, service orientated solutions.~crlf~##Manage external counsel in performing coverage analysis and resolution strategies, including development and implementation of defense strategies on litigated claims.~crlf~##Ensure unpursued claims are settled in accordance with settlement guidelines.~crlf~##Drive effective subrogation processes. ~crlf~Referrals and Compliance:~crlf~##Ensure all claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AGCS Claims complex procedures and guidelines.~crlf~##Refer cases outside of authority level, preparing referral documentation and materials as appropriate.~crlf~##Support establishment of claims management procedures on new business accounts in association with clients, brokers and loss adjusters. ~crlf~Market Management:~crlf~##Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and broker negotiations where necessary).~crlf~##Proactively liaise with MMC on market management initiatives.~crlf~##Proactively manage selected Allianz accounts, cross LoB. ~crlf~Leadership:~crlf~##Lead and manage Claims team or deputies for LoB Manager.~crlf~##Training, developing and coaching of less experienced staff. ~crlf~Relationship Management:~crlf~##Positively represent AGCS externally to the market.~crlf~##Proactively drive involvement of functional areas in Claims handling process, e.g. Underwriting, MMC, ARC, Operations.~crlf~##Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. third party adjusters).~crlf~##Significant travel to loss locations to appraise the damage, and likewise to collaborate with public and private officials relative to the remedial services required. ~crlf~~crlf~
##Preferably Degree in Economics, Law, or other appropriate discipline ~crlf~##Ideally qualified Lawyer / Engineer / Economist~crlf~##Proven track record in handling international commercial claims involving complex coverage and damage issues, with c. 10 plus years' experience.~crlf~##Expert understanding of LoB products and portfolio, with expert understanding of coverage and in depth experience of application in the adjustment process.~crlf~##Demonstrable, established relationships with brokers at peer group level and well established within local market.~crlf~In depth understanding of regional / local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape.~crlf~##Detailed understanding of legal and regulatory framework ~crlf~Experience working in complex, global matrix organization, and of working overseas.~crlf~##Expert understanding in relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions and coverages - specifically complex claims.~crlf~##Expert knowledge of claims handling process from notification to settlement and recovery.~crlf~Reserving: Expert knowledge of reserving principles and practices.~crlf~##Robust understanding of coinsurance and reinsurance and application.~crlf~##Robust understanding of relevant legal processes and procedures, litigation management, litigation avoidance techniques (e.g. mediation).~crlf~~crlf~
