Claims Team Leader-AUTO/GL
Lead and manage Auto / General Liability claims team~crlf~Handle all Auto and General Liability claim types including files in Litigation~crlf~Ensure claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AGCS Claims Standards procedures and guidelines~crlf~Utilize third party service providers to achieve economical results and to provide a high quality service to all internal and external customers~crlf~Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients
##Manage team of Claim Handlers~crlf~Lead and manage Claims team~crlf~Manage cost center budget within plan~crlf~Training, developing and coaching of less experienced staff ~crlf~Manage technical referrals as appropriate~crlf~Delegate work as appropriate~crlf~##Investigation and Reserving of Claims~crlf~Investigate claims, including coverage determination and evaluation of loss exposures~crlf~Determine appropriate reserving levels~crlf~Select and direct independent external service providers (e.g. Loss Adjusters)~crlf~Proactively discuss and review contentious, large and complex claims with fellow adjusters and management to obtain opinions/feedback~crlf~##Settlement~crlf~Settle claims through payment or denial~crlf~Negotiate to ensure efficient and competitive settlement~crlf~Ensure unpursued claims are settled in accordance with settlement guidelines~crlf~Support subrogation processes~crlf~##Claims Processing and Administration~crlf~Input and maintain accurate claims records for designated accounts, within appropriate AGC&S Claims administration systems ~crlf~Proactively review late/nonpayment of premium and support credit control process with Underwriting / Accounts ~crlf~Manage timely production of management information reports (e.g. monthly major claims movements) and proactively identify loss trends~crlf~##Referrals and Compliance~crlf~Ensure all claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AGCS Claims Standards procedures and guidelines~crlf~Refer cases outside of authority level, preparing referral documentation and materials as appropriate~crlf~Support establishment of claims management procedures on new business accounts in association with clients, brokers and loss adjusters~crlf~Undertake audits of external service providers as appropriate~crlf~##Market Management & Relationship Management~crlf~Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and broker negotiations where necessary)~crlf~Proactively liaise with MMC on market management initiatives~crlf~Positively represent AGCS externally to the market~crlf~Proactively drive involvement of functional areas in Claims handling process, e.g. Underwriting, MMC, ARC, Operations~crlf~Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. third party adjusters)~crlf~~crlf~
##Preferably a degree in Economics, Law, or other appropriate discipline~crlf~##Minimum of 5-7 years of experience~crlf~## specialized understanding of LoB products and portfolio with technical specialist knowledge.~crlf~##Specialized understanding of regional / local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape~crlf~##Recognized relationship building with brokers at peer group level and well established within local market~crlf~##Experience in working in global complex, matrix organization leading a team of professionals~crlf~##Products and Coverages: understanding in relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions and coverages~crlf~##Claims Handling: knowledge of claims handling process from notification to settlement and recovery~crlf~##Reserving, reinsurance and coinsurance: knowledge of reserving principles and practices; robust understanding of coinsurance and reinsurance and application~crlf~~crlf~
