IT Lead Designer (m/f/d)
The Lead Designer manages the ongoing basis and design of the AGCS IT application or infrastructure landscape for a given area of responsibility in order to deliver an integrated solution and standardized approach.
Design:~crlf~##Analyze the business requirements and processes within AGCS to support the design and development of application management and maintenance / IT infrastructure for all AGCS core insurance systems, applications, interfaces and infrastructure.~crlf~##Coordinate with other areas of the IT department, OBT and the business to design the functional data model for an integrated landscape and to produce conceptual and technical designs based on the requirements.~crlf~ ~crlf~IT Support:~crlf~##Coordinate all efforts across geographic regions and continuously share best practices and approaches across teams, offering support when required~crlf~##Cooperate with other IT teams to ensure interoperability and availability to ensure no losses to business functions or processing through non-availability or poor performance systems. Support business initiatives.~crlf~##Prepare and contribute to architectural quality reviews by the Enterprise Architect Team~crlf~ ~crlf~Management / Expertise~crlf~##Functionally lead a small number of senior specialists / developers / architects and other team leaders that are geographically dispersed and ensuring continuity of process and service when required.~crlf~##Manage cost center budget within plan~crlf~##Coordinate the team and abide by the AGCS staff management procedures i.e. success factors and communicating strategy.~crlf~ ~crlf~Conduct IT Analysis~crlf~##Analyze, study or examine business, functional and technical requirements in detail, and draw appropriate conclusions. ~crlf~##In depth evaluation of existing architecture/systems/processes~crlf~##Creation of solution concepts~crlf~ ~crlf~Stakeholder Management~crlf~##Develop and positively influence key, strategic position stakeholders across locations and functions~crlf~##Monitor realization of concepts and act as escalation instance~crlf~##Manage 3rd party service providers~crlf~ ~crlf~Company Policies~crlf~##Conduct analysis on whether IT policies/standards are being followed, follow up and apply in cases where necessary~crlf~##Report to IT management on results~crlf~##Implementation of Group initiatives, standards, policies and evolve the services provided
Required experience~crlf~##Experience of working internationally and of remotely managing and developing regional teams across numerous locations (Minimum 5 to 7 years)~crlf~##Project Management experience (Minimum 3 to 5 years)~crlf~##Experience in software / IT infrastructure design (Minimum 5 to 7 years)~crlf~##Professional IT experience (ideally in Financial Services) (Minimum 5 to 7 years)~crlf~ ~crlf~Required education~crlf~##University degree in Information Systems, Information Management or equivalent combination of education and experience~crlf~##Professional IT qualification preferred. E.G. ITIL certification~crlf~ ~crlf~Technical skills~crlf~##Deep knowledge of PL/SQL (or similar), DWH modelling techniques. SAP HANA XSA experience is an advantage~crlf~##Technical, process and functional knowledge in the financial or insurance area~crlf~##Knowledge of data and transactional application architecture and best practices in the industry ~crlf~##Reverse engineering capabilities, ability to understand and review code written by others ~crlf~ ~crlf~General skills~crlf~##Strategic Planning: Ability to develop, implement and communicate strategies to address important trends or changes in the business~crlf~##Budgeting & Controlling: Contribute to budgeting and cost controlling processes~crlf~##Communication & Presentation: Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally. Ability to "sell" an improvised or prepared audience winning story~crlf~##Change Management: ability to transition individuals, teams, and the whole organization from a current state to a desired future state.~crlf~##English - Fluent (able to negotiate); Second language desired
