Allianz Technology in Vienna is looking for a

Senior Java Software Engineer (f/m/d)

You will join Global System Integration (GSI) function at Allianz Technology that is responsible for transformation project rollouts and production maintenance activities of Allianz operating entities globally. Become a part of a cross-functional development team working in an agile environment. Deliver solutions to a modern insurance platform. You will apply your technical knowledge and expertise to design and build solutions for digital customer journeys, underwriting, pricing, policy and claims management etc. You will work in a diverse international environment at Allianz. You will collaborate with experts from business, design, development across Europe and beyond.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement cool new features with a focus on high quality and short time to market
  • Take initiative to architect technical solutions and drive the implementation
  • Own features from development to production. We live DevOps!
  • Ensure quality with automated tests
  • Learn new technologies and share with others, be a mentor to your teammates
  • Align with product owners and agile team members and understand the business requirements
  • Design solutions that follow best practices
  • Make it scale. We serve customers all across Europe!

 

REQUIREMENTS

You have 5 years and more of relevant experience with technologies of our toolstack and are passionate to learn and become an expert in other technologies as well.

  • You speak Java fluently
  • Experience with Spring
  • Experience with test automation (JUnit, JMockit, Cucumber etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, SonarQube, Git
  • Experience with relational databases, SQL and REST APIs
  • Nice to have:
    • Cloud technologies (AWS)
    • Container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
    • Microservices  and event-based architecture
    • Apache Kafka
    • Eclipse RCP or OSGi
    • Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, ELK stack
  • Working-level knowledge of agile and willingness to take active role supporting an agile working environment
  • Experience designing, architecting, building and improving solutions that bring value to end customers and organization
  • Experience setting up and improving engineering practices within the team (TDD, end-to-end test automation, CI/CD etc.)
  • Experience working with enterprise IT systems
  • Fluent in English
  • Analytical and conceptual skills with high problem-solving competence
  • Flexibility to travel and partially work from home – travel will only be considered in cases where it is safe to do so

Salary: from EUR 60.000.- gross per year (a higher salary could be considered depending on the specific qualifications, experience and skills)
