Job Purpose / Role


We’re looking for a IT Product Portfolio Manager (m/f/d) at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) in Munich.
In this role, you will drive Lean Portfolio Management Governance topics for Portfolio Board, Product Portfolio Roadmap, Participatory Budgeting, Portfolio Approval Reviews, Portfolio Sync according to SAFe methodology and AGCS adaptations. You will be the main contact partner for IT Product stakeholders, advising them to achieve the best business outcomes to effectively deliver the strategy of AGCS and ensure proper collaboration and alignment across the entire IT Product Portfolio at AGCS. In addition, you will own and drive further development of the benefits framework for SAFe and across AGCS globally.

Key responsibilities

 

In this role you will…

 

  • Work with Head of Global IT Product Portfolio Management to translate the AGCS Strategy into Strategic OKRs (Objective Key Results) by co-designing them with business topic owners
  • Main contact partner for IT Product stakeholders ensuring close collaboration across all Lean Portfolio Management topics, proactively advise them to achieve the best business benefits to contribute to the AGCS Strategy
  • Ensure risks and dependencies are adequately addressed by driving proper collaboration and alignment across the entire IT Product Portfolio at AGCS
  • Collaborate with other internal and external stakeholders and drive relationship management by building / utilizing your own network of stakeholders 
  • Drive Lean Portfolio Management Governance topics for Portfolio Board, Product Portfolio Roadmap, Participatory Budgeting, Portfolio Approval Reviews, Portfolio Sync according to SAFe methodology and AGCS adaptations. 
  • Own the further development of benefits management and KPI tracking and reporting.
  • Support the transformation, simplification and improvement of the AGCS Lean Portfolio Management procedures through continuous feedback and also considering the perspective of our target stakeholders and ensuring internal efficiency    

            

Key Requirements

 

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or any other relevant field            
  • About 5-7 years of working experience in portfolio management and/or project management, including experience in Finance and reporting            
  • About 5-7 years of experience in managing strategic objectives and key results (OKRs), benefits management and KPIs
  • Past exposure to the insurance industry            
  • Understanding of both business and IT requirements, strong business acumen and financial know-how to assess business cases        
  • Proven agile (ideally SAFe) skills        
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including with C-level suite   
  • Resilient, self-starter with the ability to work to tight deadlines and the courage to voice opinions when working with senior management
  • Ability to lead and experience in decision-making
  • Coaching and consulting skills
  • Willingness to travel to AGCS’s global offices when and as required
  • Fluent English is required, German skills would be beneficial
