Job Purpose/Role
At AGCS we combine specialist expertise and global reach with high levels of AA rated underwriting capacity to industry specific exposures. This allows us to establish a reputation as leaders of some of the largest and most complex risks in the market.


Our team Global Business Analysis Liability is responsible for driving forward the delivery of cross-functional and cross-regional business related infrastructure projects to improve AGCS ability to deliver its value proposition to clients. We are looking for a new motivated team member (m/f/d) in Munich to support us in this.


Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Steering and Pricing:

  • Consolidation and analysis of Global Liability Underwriting performance indicators, including the continuous enhancement of processes to gain efficiency and effectiveness
  • Prepare reports and run analysis for various stakeholders
  • Streamlining data requirements
  • Data quality improvement initiatives
  • User Application Testing
  • Preparation of guides for processes, systems and roles
  • Harmonization of Pricing tools, ensuring corporate standards are met


Process Coordination:

  • Underwriting Academy - Liability: Preparation, implementation, feedback analysis and follow up
  • The handling of Underwriting materials and processes (Guidelines, Tools, etc.)
  • Update of external and internal marketing materials


Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • Enrolled at university for the complete period of employment or gap year
  • Advanced stage of degree in Economics, Mathematics or Finance with a proven academic record
  • Understanding of basic Insurance Key Performance Indicators
  • Excellent analytical skills and data mining skills
  • Very good communication skills
  • A well-organized, self-starter who is motivated
  • The ability to grasp topics easily and quickly
  • Experience abroad and an affinity to an international environment would be helpful
  • Team player with the dedication to perform at his/her best
  • High proficiency in in MS Office applications MS Excel and MS Power Point. VBA, Thinkcell and Salesforce.com experience is an advantage
  • Coding language like SQL or Python is a major advantage
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken. German is beneficial but not mandatory


Additional Information

  • Job start and duration: Internship 38h / week for 6+ months
  • Legal requirement to be enrolled at a EU university for the whole period of employment
