Our Global Finance and Controlling team in Allianz Services is searching for a Senior Controlling Expert to help us provide meaningful data and insights for the financial steering of the organization.

You will report to the Head of Global Finance and Controlling AZ Services and will have an impact on all financial controlling topics: planning, forecasting, reporting, analyzing, and challenging Financial KPIs and their main drivers for services, projects and line cost centers in close collaboration with the business. You will advise managers and global service owners on all controlling topics. You will drive and coordinate process improvements and automation of financial reporting tasks. Furthermore you will manage the implementation of new controlling processes and systems and ensure compliance to controlling-relevant standards.

Key responsibilities/What you will do:

  • Create and provide financial analysis, reports and dashboards for different stakeholders (ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, and yearly base)
  • Monitor actuals vs. plan, analyze deviations and their drivers, recommend measures to ensure plan achievement and track ongoing progress of different plans and major projects
  • Support and challenge business representatives based on financial analysis
  • Drive standardization and automation of financial reporting, e.g. by using SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Drive best practice sharing, efficiency increases, standards setting and process harmonization for controlling topics
  • Support implementation of Service Management Tool from Finance perspective by taking over SPOC function for Finance related questions and requirements
  • Develop recommendations for financial targets within the strategic and operational planning and forecasting process (long-, mid- and short-term perspective)
  • Support and challenge price and rate card calculations together with service owners within annual pricing process, and coordinate with central pricing team according to pricing framework
  • Contribute, establish and further develop guidelines, methods, processes and systems
  • Develop global controlling topics and work with central and local team members in an international setup

  • Deputize or substitute when needed the direct line manager
  • Provide guidance and feedback to more junior team members in both central and local controlling teams
  • Take over functional leadership role for near-/offshore colleagues and further support their development

Key requirements /What we hope you bring:  

  • University degree in finance, business administration, economics or relevant work experience
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English language
  • 5+ years of work experience within Controlling / Financial Steering in an international matrix organization or in comparable consulting company
  • Experience working with systems relevant for Controlling, e.g. SAP FI-CO/BW/SAC
  • Experience applying controlling-related local and international standards
  • Experience using analytics, moderation and presentation techniques to address different stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • Experience solving complex topics based on multiple sources of information
  • Intrapreneurial attitude and desire to bring new approaches into our company from concept phase down to implementation level

Desired requirements /skills /experience

  • Understanding of shared services, insurance, and consulting services business
  • Fluency in German language would represent an advantage
  • Knowledge of any other languages spoken in our hubs might ease networking
