Job Purpose/Role 

 

We are looking for a Financial Accountant (m/f/d) to join the Accounting department at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) in Munich. 

 

As a member of the Cost Accounting team, you will support our IFRS and HGB reporting.

Responsibilities

 

In this role you will…


•    Ensure that all financial closing and reporting tasks in your area of responsibility are completed accurately, professionally and in a timely manner
•    Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements for IFRS and HGB and support the related projects
•    Prepare and present management reports, analyze and comment on financial data and answer management questions 
•    Liaise with international subsidiaries and branches of AGCS SE and assist in answering financial closing related questions 
•    Actively assist in the preparation of financial statements for international subsidiaries
•    Perform regular account reconciliations for the accounts assigned to you 
•    Perform internal quality controls 
•    Participate in international finance projects and change management initiatives in an agile environment
•    Provide technical support to and work closely with our colleagues in the offshore teams
•    Assist in the development and improvement of processes and the implementation of internal controls
•    Be the point of contact for internal and external auditors


To be successful in the role:

 

You will have…
            
•    Solid academic background, preferably in finance
•    0-3 years professional experience in international accounting, finance or controlling desirable
•    Good knowledge of IFRS, HGB
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English, French is a plus
•    Tech savvy with advanced MS Office skills (including Excel, Access, Powerpoint)
•    Excellent analytical thinking and high ability to work under pressure
•    Strong communication and presentation skills
•    Highly organized, self-motivated team player with can-do attitude and the ability to come up with new initiatives and ideas 

 

Ideally you will also have…

 

•    Knowledge corporate tax rules
•    SAP FI / SAP BW knowledge
