Job Purpose/Role 


Are you interested in joining our adventure by becoming our new Global UW Product Manager based in our Munich, London, New York or Paris office? The role is responsible for proactively supporting the development and execution of the global Lifecycle Mgt strategy, proactively supporting the design, development and implementation of new and modified products for LoBs globally, steer and act as an integral part of the GPR team in its core functions of: Driving Wording best practice, product simplification and alignment cross LoB, innovation and thought leadership with a focus on short tail products, providing governance frame for Lifecycle Mgt. activities including but not limited to product design, product digitalization, review of existing Products and support on x-line and/ or Major Product/ Wording analytics projects.



In this role you will…


• Proactively support the development and implementation of AGCS transformation initiatives, in line with AGCS transformation strategy
• Contribute to developing a global product strategy and define a product transformation strategy for the product scope within responsibility
• Proactively drive design, development and implementation of new and modified products to meet LoB needs and strategic plans
• Design and develop global reference wordings in liaison with relevant stakeholders (e.g. Legal and Compliance)
• Ensure (in close collaboration with Product Architecture team) that product is embedded in AGCS data model including effective pricing strategies. plans
• Design and develop global reference wordings in liaison with relevant stakeholders (e.g. Legal and Compliance)
• Focus on short tail business products in line with background and experience, but on demand basis also working cross whole product suite
• Lead the steering and controlling of the global product portfolio to drive simplification and alignment cross LoB and cross regions
• Proactively monitor LoB product portfolio and take corrective measures to ensure target achievement as required
• Drive x-LoB and x-functional collaboration and exchange to ensure product strategy being fully embedded in AGCS strategies and initiatives
• Proactively analyze relevant markets to identify legal and market developments, client needs and areas for innovation. Communicate product strategy to internal and external


To be successful in the role:


You will have…


• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, or comparable discipline, ideally with a legal degree in Continental European country, UK or US as well as a Completion of professional insurance qualification (e.g. CII/CPCU etc.)
• Proven technical knowledge in a Short Tail Line of Business, with significant experience in the international insurance market
• Comprehensive technical knowledge of Short Tail Line of Business products, coverages, underwriting practices, pricing processes and sales distribution channels
• Comprehensive technical knowledge of wording drafting and interpretation gained in product development, claims or legal role
• In depths knowledge of at least one Short Tail Line of Business, with deep understanding for product, wording and underlying exposure. Understanding of market trends and product requirements
• Proven experience in Contract Drafting and Interpretation: design, develop and implement consistent, robust wordings
• Understanding of Legal and Regulatory: in depth knowledge of local laws, regulation and issues relating to industrial insurance products ideally with a legal degree in Continental European country, UK or US
• Strong analytical skills: Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire, ability to quickly identify guiding principles in complex scenarios
• Strong understanding of requirements of business transformation on product architecture and wordings
• Proven Communication & Presentation skills: Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally.  Ability to "sell" an improvised or prepared audience winning story
• Fluent English skills

Ideally you will also have…


•    Experience in project management
•    Additional language skill, e.g. German, French or Spanish
