JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

The department workplace services (WPS) is responsible for operations of all workplace services within Allianz Group. This includes enterprise mobility services (EMS), notebooks, desktops, virtual clients (AVC/VDI), desktop file service, printers, service desk and field service.

At workplace services we are currently searching for an Automation & DevOps Expert to support the agile teams for O365 & File Services. The expectation to this role is to make meaningful contributions to product developments and engineering initiatives in both product areas and to interact closely with all technical team members and other stakeholders.

One major responsibility of the O365 & File Service Teams (Shared Data & Collaboration Tribe) is to provide easy to use and reliable collaboration and information management platforms to Allianz employees. This implies also that processes for service provisioning, delivery & operations as well as maintainability are developed in a highly automated manner to reduce manual efforts and potential error scenarios.

Workplace service is an agile working department and besides the continuous product enhancement and improvements the Automation & DevOps expert supports to maintain this functioning DevOps environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Seek opportunities to continuously improve & automate the quality of Allianz Technology's (IT) services and processes
  • Develop and define the (IT) quality framework, standards and measurement methods
  • Drive process automation within the IT workplace service area
  • Support and consult product teams (O365 & File Service – Shared Data & Collaboration Tribe) regarding possibilities to improve and automate rollouts and migrations
  • Develop reusable plugins/interfaces to other WPS systems
  • Design, Build and Deploy systems to improve workforce productivity
  • Initiate and conduct quality reviews and quality initiatives for Allianz Technology for e.g. processes, projects, services and tooling
  • Promote best practices within the team to improve quality, reduce risk, increase security, promote efficiency and minimize costs

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with major automation and orchestration tools
  • Experience with DevOps/Automation tools (i.e. XLRelease, Jenkins, Git, Power Automate)
  • Experience with Azure, Windows Server, Office 365 as well as scripting/programming
  • Expert level knowledge in PowerShell scripting and other programming languages (e.g. Python etc.)
  • Experience with ITSM tools and Service Request Fulfillment processes and tools
  • Experience working in an Agile-Scrum Environment
  • Experience with writing scripts to automate repetitive business processes
  • Higher education degree in business administration, mathematics, IT, economics or comparable technical education
  • Relevant work experience in process management, CI/CD, lean management, (IT) consulting or customer-centric service optimization
  • Ability to carry out tasks independently in non-standardized (ever-changing) work situations
  • Readiness to mentor new team members and junior colleagues
