Position Summary

You will be part of the Operation Team in Allianz GI Japan which covers middle and back office functions for Investment Trust Management (ITM) operation, Discretionary accounts operation, and Sub-advisory and Intermediary mandate operation.

You will cover both BAU (Business As Usual) daily operational tasks especially ITM funds and Onboarding tasks. You will handle day-to-day BAU Tasks, communicate with local trust banks, clients, and provide oversight on local & international sourcing providers. In addition, you will be involved in local and international onboarding which have impact on Operations team in Japan.

We are seeking a candidate that can built positive relationships and drive for results in our business environment. The candidate main role will be to cover BAU daily Operational tasks for ITM funds.

 

BAU related responsibilities:

  • Manage daily Investment Trust Management (ITM) operation
  • Responsible for record keeping and statutory client reporting for onshore and offshore mandates
  • Control day-to-day operations for onshore and offshore mandates, including cash management, monitoring transactions, settlement, and reconciliation
  • Handle miscellaneous inquiries and trouble shooting
  • Prepare periodical regulatory reporting regarding discretionary mandates
  • Monitor and manage outsourcing vendors

 

Onboarding responsibilities:

  • Understand client requirements, structure of accounts/funds and liaise with internal stakeholders and outsourced agents.
  • Structure the operational workflow and coordinate the account set it up with the relevant parties appropriately
  • Make suggestions for further improvement of the current process

 

Experience:

  • Higher education degree and a 5-7 years’ or more experience of ITM related financial industry or Asset management industry
  • ITM accounting experience or oversight of accounting outsourcee will be preferable.
  • Understanding of full trade life cycle including awareness of middle and back office functions/processes and their touch points with the front office and downstream is a real plus
  • Flexible approach to changing client requirements and to a changing local and international market environment
  • Past experience into driving local & international project within the Operations area (internal & external stakeholders management) is real plus
