The role:

We have a newly created role of Project Manager Performance and Reward commencing on a 7 months contract and responsible for project managing and overseeing the implementation of CPS511 – a large APRA regulatory program that will see significant changes and developments within the Performance and Reward space and the business as a whole. This role will take ownership from a project management perspective including support from a change and comms perspective.


Responsibilities in the role:

  • Manage projects through development and implementation stages, in accordance with the AAL change management approach and methodology and within set budgetary constraints.
  • Design and develop strategies and processes, in consultation with team members, stakeholders and business consultants, which will support the implementation of the project.
  • Review and respond to corporate policy issues, providing advice and establishing policies when required.
  • Identify key stakeholders and pro-actively gain their support and endorsement by establishing contacts, conducting presentations or workshops and attending stakeholder meetings.
  • Manage regular project plan progress reports, identify risks effecting delivery of project outcomes and where necessary deploy contingencies to ensure completion of project.
  • Identify project dependencies and act as representative, or contribute to corporate projects, committees, and change management programs, to ensure plans can be carried out effectively and dependencies are resolved.
  • Own or contribute to the development of a change management strategy and approach based on the completed change analysis.
  • Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans such as a change leadership plan, communication plan and education and training plan


To be successful:

  • You’ll have prior experience managing projects with a track record of successfully leading and delivering strategic business projects or complex business change programs, ideally a regulatory implementation. 
  • Previous Performance and Reward experience, in particular reward governance will also be highly regarded, as will experience in Financial Services or business consultancy.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions. 
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing resource demands across a specialised team.
  • Able to identify, analyse and assess risks inherent to the business and put in place appropriate controls and actions to manage the risks for future sustainability.
