Within Allianz Real Estate, the global Valuation Team is comprehensively responsible for the market value assessment of the real estate investments and coordinates the selection and commissioning of external valuers as well as the acceptance and reporting of the market values. In line with the global real estate portfolio, the Valuation Team operates internationally from Munich / Stuttgart and is supported by local colleagues in New York, Singapore, Paris, Milan and Stuttgart. Integrated in the Portfolio department, we provide comprehensive support to Allianz's internal clients and support our third-party client activities with sound valuation know-how. The interdisciplinary cooperation with Transaction and Asset Management as well as Finance results in a varied and exciting daily project routine in the context of one of the largest international real estate asset managers with diverse development and career options.

 

To strengthen our global Valuation Team, we are looking for a Valuation Manager (m/f/d) for the analysis of the European country markets Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Great Britain as well as CEE and Nordics.

You will support the Head of Asset Valuation as well as the top management in the decision-making process and the approval of external valuations. Flat hierarchies and uncomplicated decision-making channels are a given. The working location is Stuttgart, alternatively it is also possible to work from Munich or Frankfurt. 

 

 

The area of responsibility:

  • Independent responsibility for all valuation topics of an assigned international sub-portfolio vis-à-vis external appraisers as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Assessment of opportunities and risks of commercial real estate within the scope of transactions in Germany and abroad with the focus on commissioning, monitoring and plausibility checks
  • Review of external real estate appraisals to ensure a market-adequate valuation in accordance with internal requirements
  • Regular quantitative analysis of European country markets in close cooperation with our research department to assess markets and properties
  • Modelling of quantitative scenario and sensitivity analyses to forecast the valuation result and to assess risk 
  • Act as a valuation expert for real estate for Allianz internal clients as well as in the context of third-party business initiatives
  • Actively communicate valuation results and prepare appropriate presentations in the context of market value assessment, workflow design and senior management reporting
  • Together with the Senior Manager Global Valuation, establish the global valuation community including in-house training and networking events.

 

 

Requirements profile:

  • Completed studies in business administration (BWL) with a real estate or valuation-specific focus.
  • Several years of professional experience in real estate valuation and/or transaction business with sound knowledge in the field of real estate valuation (ideally RICS or/and HypZert qualification) 
  • Sound and in-depth knowledge of real estate and capital markets, as well as experienced application of international and national valuation procedures
  • Enthusiasm for real estate markets and valuation-relevant capital market topics as well as enjoyment of working in an international context 
  • Experience in international project management as well as interest in trend topics such as digitalisation and sustainability in real estate valuation
  • Decision-making ability coupled with a resilient, conscientious and flexible personality
  • Independent and self-reliant working style as a team player with integrity
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Active and interdisciplinary communication skills across management levels and national borders, which you have already been able to use profitably in comparable positions
  • Very good command of written and spoken German and English; other language skills would be an advantage
