We are looking for you! We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented Strategic Procurement Officer (f/m/d) who will be responsible for IT category strategy and relationship management globally. This position is based in our Frankfurt office.

 

Within this exciting role, you will be developing the IT category strategy with the respective stakeholders, convert strategies into action plans and drive the execution of the objectives aligned with the business and company objectives.

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement procurement strategy in the IT category contributing to our objectives
  • Improve and extend current value chain including systems and contract negotiations as well as relationship management for all our major suppliers
  • Conduct sourcing activities, including but not limited to: Spend analysis, benchmarking, supply market analysis, vendor analysis, RFX building, baseline analysis, contracting, building business transactions
  • Proactively develop and drive cost reduction initiatives to meet the company targets and identify the best solutions to provide long-term value to the business
  • Manage end-to-end vendor lifecycle, including identification, onboarding, performance measurement, (strategic) development, relationship-management, offboarding
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements objectives with taking an active role in service delivery and continuous improvements
  • Optimize supplier portfolio
  • Ensure reporting of project results and communication at all levels by means of a vendor management system

 

 

 

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

 

  • Academic degree in Business Administration, Legal, Finance, IT or related field of study
  • Strong experience of strategic buying, developing sourcing category strategies and performing sophisticated transactions in IT category area
  • Ideally 5+ years' of experience in procurement and confirmed experience of the end-to-end procurement process management
  • Experience in IT project structures, business transactions production and review, included but not limited to scoping, pricing models used and performance measurements
  • Proficiency in German and English is required, further languages are beneficial
  • Ability to analyze markets and gather intelligence regarding market conditions and supply/ demand drivers
  • Strong relationship-management skills and proven track record in being able to strategically advise and drive internal business clients and their strategies
  • Solid awareness/ understanding of market innovations and how to apply these innovations to drive impactful sourcing strategies relevant to the IT space
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
