We are looking for you! We are currently hiring a dynamic and ambitious AML/KYC analyst to join our AML/KYC Operations Team on a 50% basis. This role is based in Luxembourg.


In this multifaceted role you will support the European sales team with the onboarding of new clients (Distributors, Intermediary, Institutional clients). You will review KYC files and AML procedures and assess regulatory issues in terms of AML requirements including client/ investor account opening, names screening, customer and/ or Distributor Due Diligence, etc. You will perform gap analyses and identify AML and/ or Compliance/ Regulatory issues compared to the laws and regulations in force. You will develop strong technical/ industry knowledge of key business processes such as customer/ investor account opening, on-going due diligence measures.

What you will do


  • Dealing with UBO requests and registration
  • Supporting the team with data maintenance requests and testing
  • Managing the entire invoicing process and follow up on the payments
  • Analyse customer information and documents according to the prescribed internal policies and procedures
  • Complete the vital workflow tasks in the Customer Due Diligence Repository (“CDDR” system) during the customer onboarding process and periodic reviews in a timely manner
  • Execute and review sanctions, PEPs and adverse media alerts from customer screening during the customer onboarding process and advance where necessary
  • Package the Customer Due Diligence research and documentation (the “KYC profile”) for review by the Client Account Management
  • Meet production target volumes and dates as advised
  • Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) research for customers, as part of the group-wide Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) policies and procedures
  • Ensure all activities are in line with AllianzGI Procedures


What you bring


  • At least 2 years of related experience in undertaking AML / KYC reviews and administrative tasks within a financial institution
  • Excellent English, verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of German, Italian or Spanish as additional language would be useful
  • Validated problem-solving skills paired with project management skills as well as the ability to multi-task and handle deadlines without supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships, internally and externally, in a global business environment
  • Excellent research, analytical and communication skills
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
  • Ability to work professionally with all levels of staff and management
  • Strong teamwork, organisational, complex problem resolution, and initiative
  • Sound judgment, keen sense of urgency, and high level of professional and personal integrity
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Edge.
