Job Purpose
The position will be located in Saint Ouen but to manage America region.
As the Regional IT Finance Manager, under minimal supervision, you will be responsible for establishing, coordinating and monitoring all IT spend; budgets and business cases for IT services and projects to ensure financial viability within the region.
You will be part of the Global IT Finance team, and you will be responsible for providing regional regular IT financial reports; including budgeted vs. actual expenses, forecasts, financial trend analyses and challenges along with Financial KPIs and their main driver for services. Additionally identifying and coordinating improvement measures where possible.
In this role you act as a financial consultant and advisor for your region, to the respective business owners and stakeholders. You will support the Head of IT Finance & IT Controlling (in Finance) to develop and maintains IT chargeback processes and systems to ensure compliance with Allianz Partners (AzP) direction on internal cost allocations and compliance with applicable regulations.
Current challenges include the development and validation of a consolidate Regional IT budget, establishing plan vs. actual reporting as well as support the establishment of financial transparency ownership and awareness across all BUs and budget owners.
Future Challenges include supporting the business and IT service management with the development of complete business cases for her/his region which support the fact based decision making towards simplification of IT environment within AzP, and thereby reduction of overall IT spend to be measured as IT Cost Ratio over time.
What you do
- Tracking regional budget consumption and provides forecasts for Run & Change, analyses deviations and their drivers, recommending measures to ensure plan achievement and tracks ongoing progress
- Creating and providing financial analyses, reports and dashboards for various stakeholders (to client Management and Governance Boards as required)
- Working with Suppliers, AzP Finance and Controlling and other relevant stakeholders to resolve invoicing issues as necessary and triggering Escalation Management, if required
- Validating that invoices and records related to invoices are being prepared and delivered according to the terms of the Agreement
- Creating and managing Financial Analysis and Planning process and input (develops recommendations for financial targets) into annual PD process lead by AzP Finance
- Managing the budgeting process in regards to outsourced activities, which includes projected trends, extraordinary events, and transformation projects
- Delivering maintenance support to track project finances as well as analyze and monitor billing milestones to ensure consistency with budget
- Building/interpreting financial models, analyzing financial results and communicating findings to leadership and business partners across the organization to support business decisions
What you bring
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in financial management and analysis, ideally in relation to global outsourced IT Services and Service Providers
- Solid understanding and use of financial concepts – e.g. discounted cash flows, amortization/depreciation, business case development, sensitivity analysis and associated trending, etc.
- Understanding of IT services such as computer/infrastructure services and telecommunications services; pricing models, and resource units (measures of service utilization)
- Possesses excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to assess needs, creatively approach solutions, decide and influence appropriate courses of action, manage a large budget (regional level)
- Proven knowledge and experience in IT Financial Management, and Off-shore IT financial management expertise
- Experiences in international work environment and functional area of responsibility, mainly IT desirable
- Solid communication skills - ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively with robust financial commentary to enable decision-making. Demonstrated experience in managing Outsourcing Services Agreements, Financial Analysis, Cost Accounting, Cost Models, Cost Allocation processes, and Economics
- Higher education degree in finance, business administration, economics or related area Certification as a controller on higher proficiency levels desirable
