Job Purpose/ Role
Allianz Partners (AzP) is the leading company for B2B2C offerings within Allianz, with a wide variety of insurance and service solutions in the areas of Mobility & Assistance, Travel, and International Health. 

 

The Product & Underwriting Governance team is part of the Cross Line of Business (LoB) team within Allianz Partners. The main responsibility is to define rules & cornerstones for the Product & Underwriting population located around the world while fostering Cross-LoB solutions, collaboration, and alignment. 

 

Reporting to the Head of Product & Underwriting Governance, in this role you will be pivotal in shaping and executing AzP and LoB strategy, which is currently undergoing a company-wide transformation program. 

 

Product & Underwriting Governance team translates various requirements (including Allianz group, AzP CEO, as well as external (legal and regulatory) requirements) into tangible rules and recommendations for AzP. Particular focus in the coming years will be shift to a an analytical portfolio management view, while harmonizing processes in the different LoB’s and bringing various internal stakeholder onboard.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the further development of Product & Underwriting Control & Governance Framework while interacting with various international, internal stakeholders (e.g. Legal, Audit, Risk, Actuarial, corporate Allianz SE headquarter experts) 
  • Interact with and challenge a technically experienced Product & Underwriting team & ensuring necessary levels of quality & performance in various areas (e.g. Underwriting file reviews, Case underwriting, productivity measurement)
  • Develop and automate mechanisms that allow tracking of reporting requirements and governance controls 
  • Prepare management briefings, analyses, and presentations relating to various Cross-LoB topics (e.g. Underwriting committee, Quarterly business reviews)
  • Be the contact person for governance-related enquiries and support solutions in an end-to-end manner 

 

Key requirements / skills / experience 

  • 5+ years of practical experience within Insurance industry, ideally within Product & Underwriting, regulatory knowledge advantageous
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally within Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • Fluent business English (verbal and in writing) & experience working independently in a global, digital environment with strong IT user skills (in particular Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to translate abstract requirements into practical guidance that meets business needs, Consulting experience advantageous
  • True team-player with enthusiasm, drive, hands-on attitude and the goal of making things possible
