What you do

The head of CPO is a pivotal role in ensuring Allianz Partners overall change budget remains on time, to budget and projects are delivered to the quality standards required to achieve the benefits expected.This role will ensure all projects are planned as a portfolio incl. project idea capture, standard business case development and expected benefits calculation and tracking, linking of all projects to business strategy or regulatory requirements, and feasibility planning (incl. capacity management). This role needs ensure the right governance is put in place for regular project portfolio reviews, validation of overall benefits creation and redistribution ob budgets (stopping projects) where priorities have changed or benefits are not realised.

 

The Head of CPO needs to enable communication of complex, multi- dimensional problems and solutions through presentations to senior Board level internal and pan line of business meetings. The Head of CPO will lead and facilitate workshops to develop our programmes and integration plans and will represent Orgnaisaitonal Management at senior forums to integrate and develop our project portfolio. This role will ensure the CPO applies strong Programme controls, validating and assuring that project plans, reports and risk registers are developed by Project Managers to feed into the wider portfolio of change. This role will provide leadership of the development and evolution of  Project/Programme and Portfolio management approach and procedures developing these to be robust to industry best practice. 

 

key repsonsiblities

  • Define, Develop and implement Project Portfolio Framework and operational Manual/guidance. 
  • Embed Planning and Governance standards. 
  • Ensure Change delivery is aligned to and delivered in accordance with Allianz policy and standards, and community of practice guidelines. 
  • Improve the project management system and processes in Allianz Partners
  • Establish Service Improvements and Change Delivery, drive the portfolio delivery plan within the defined LoBs ensuring appropriate services and solutions are proposed, planned and delivered in alignment with both the Business and IT Strategy.
  • Project financials. Ensure budgetary control and financial management are in place to shape and manage Programme/Portfolio to agreed budget.
  • Strategic Alignment, ensure Portfolios remain aligned to overall strategic vision & business case; ensure adherence to key metrics such as Benefits realisaiton, Programme timelines and Project cost / forecasting etc. 
  • Leadership and People Management, Set out and communicate a clear and compelling vision for the function, establishing a strong direction and ensuring the team are fully aligned and understand their contribution to the business priorities.
     

What you bring

  • Proven experience in a a senior adviserial role with demonstrated experience in people leadership, negotiating and conflict management
  • Multi-Year experience in collaboration with IT or working within IT department
  • Proven ability in Business Case Analysis, CBA, Benefit realisation, budget tracking, IT cost management
  • Proven ability to monitor and manage interactions with all external,  both contractual and non-contractual parties
  • Proven experience in Risk management tools and analysis
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, demonstrated at Board level
  • Proven ability to transition, individuals, teams and  organisaitons 
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills, ability to motivate, delegate, instruct and advise 
  • Strong English capabiltiy both written and verbal
