The Sales Director – Bank Credit Card & Travel will manage existing client relationships and generate business from new partnership acquisition through direct sales efforts for Bank Credit Card and Travel Platforms.

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

 

  • Ensure strong positive partner relationships from the start of onboarding & implementation.
  • Profitably retain of all partners within assigned partner portfolio
  • Manage partner relationships at both senior and junior levels, serve as contact and advocate for partners.
  • Continuously work to identify new business opportunities with existing partners, and sell those opportunities into the partner in order to implement such opportunities.
  • Work cross-functionally within assigned business team and with the client to complete implementations and achieve sales growth goals.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to evaluate customer processes and identify, develop and recommend improvements to benefit both the client and customer experience.
  • Oversee logistics and planning for client visits; prepare presentations or other information needed for meetings with partners including but not limited to business reviews, strategic roadmaps, and renewal presentations.
  • Negotiate and keep track of any contracts, and ensure client contractual obligations are met.
  • Gauge client satisfaction and maintain top-of-mind presence with clients through consistent communication.
  • Identify new opportunities, prospect for new clients, develop and present proposals, negotiate and close agreements, recommend and implement profitable strategies.
  • Manage and grow the company's sales revenues in the online, supplier and distributor markets in the bank card industry from both new and existing partners (mostly new prospects but some existing expansion opportunities) and new and existing services. This includes technology companies that facilitate distribution for both partners and prospects.
  • Participate in the development of marketing efforts in the market.
  • Represent the company at industry functions.
  • Recommend new products to the product development team that address new and evolving business opportunities.
  • Close contracts and facilitate implementation of the account as needed to ensure product sales are flowing before transitioning the partnership to an account management team.

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales or related field or combination of relevant education and work experience.
  • Five (5) years proven track record of achievement in sales and account management
  • Experience with financial institution no additional charge (NAC) benefits.
  • Relationships in banking and or credit card industry highly preferred.
  • Experience with travel insurance and/or travel credit cards a plus.

 

 

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS

 

  • Position is routinely expected to travel 15% of the time
