To support our continuous growth and build out in Asia Pacific, particularly in China, we are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented Project manager for Technology, Operation and Real Estate Management related tasks. This position could be based in any locations (Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Taipei) of Asia Pacific. In this role you will be responsible for coordinate and control the project and it’s workstream tasks of strategy project.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and facilitating cross-functional projects for the Technology & Operations domains
• Project feasibility studies, business case calculation as well as project pitches
• Steering, monitoring and reporting of projects (incl. risk and dependency management)
• Crafting appropriate governance model for the respective projects
• Leading project communications and partners
• Working with different function stakeholders to implement the Project and transition to BAU teams.
• Assess and understand regulatory/risk requirements from a Technology & Operations perspective, as input into project approach/implementation.

• Identify opportunities for digitization and automation for efficiency enhancement and support on implementation.
• Understand feature and local requirements for establishing access to new market (including establish operational processes, evaluate outsourced service provider, identify system requirements and coordinate testing, etc.)
• Evaluating organizational structures/ business processes and recommendation of improvements
• Building, maintaining and reporting projects using Microsoft Project Online PowerBI and other relevant tools.

 

Specific Responsibilities (for exisiting ongoing Tier1 project)

• Bridging local regulatory and global/regional goals and best practices to smoothly setup the Technology and Operations Infrastructure, applications and processes of the China FMC business.
• Business application workstream co-lead, managing the full life cycle of business applications setup : business requirements alignment, applications/vendor selection, proof of concept testing to and application and process setup and onboarding across the entire asset management business value chain, working with project team members / subject matter experts and vendors.
• Support project leads on project task tracking, controlling, problem solving, documentations, budgeting planning and monitor expenditure, as well as project status update documentation for project stakeholders and senior management.
• Bridging of IT infrastructure workstream tasks and teams on cross-functional topics such as solution architecture, procurement, business applications requirements for IT Infrastructure setup.
•  Establish and enhance Technology support model for the project implementation stage and post-go-live maintenance for a smooth transition to BAU.
• Collaborate and bridge global/regional with local Technology colleagues; share connect local experience to global team and likewise to share global experience to local team. to plan and steward technology aspects of local regulator’s preference and global various standards
• Analyze and recommend technology solutions (working with relevant vendors and project subject matter experts, in both business application and IT infrastructure) to the key stakeholders/business partners, senior management and project sponsors.

 

Experience & Knowledge

• 10+ years of working experience in Technology as business analyst, with solid SDLC, project management experience plus a good understanding of IT infrastructure setup from ground up. Prior people
management or project organisation management experience (such as leading an application team) is favourable.
• Good understanding of the end-to-end Distribution, investment management value chain and key regulatory requirements for an Asset Management business in Asia Pacific would be a plus
• Experience and knowledge of new business start-up, including regulatory requirements (especially mainland China), will be favourable.
• Experience in global / regional & local matrix organisations.
• Good university degree in IT, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field of study (or relevant working experience)
• Experience in handling projects and change initiatives with a crossfunctional scope in a international (Asset management) company
• Experience in project / budget / business case calculations as well as conducting RfIs / RfPs
• High level of motivation, strong dedication, energetic and resultoriented attitude

 

Skills

• Fluent in spoken Mandarin is a must, with good proficiency in written Chinese. Good Proficiency in English (spoken and written) with the ability to converse effectively on Technology and Operations topics in both languages are preferable .
• Excellent communication skills, people, and stakeholder management skills to be applied in conveying impactful recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
• Good PowerPoint and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and calmly under pressure
