Based in Paris and reporting directly to Allianz Risk Consulting (ARC) Regional Energy and Construction Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing loss control expertise, supporting, and assisting our customers. 

 

Supporting ARC global power team, your role will be to assist the underwriting team in risk selection, to implement prevention plan and to provide technical expertise to the claims department.  

 

This position requires strong relationship skills to develop and maintain professional working relationships within customers and brokers, underwriting, claims department, as well as the global power team.

Key Responsibilities 

 

In this role you will.... 

 

  • Perform desktop reviews and risk assessments of power projects (turbines, process equipment …) summarizing exposures and controls. 

  • Participate in client meetings to assist underwriters and promote loss prevention department  

  • Work with clients and brokers to develop customized and cost-effective loss control plan programs 

  • Perform or co-ordinate third party surveys  

  • Revise and validate plant maintenance plan  

  • Generate / review reports and issue necessary recommendations 

  • Monitor the loss control measures and keep costs expenses within the budget  

  • Review claims reports and support claims department in adjustment process for technical input and collecting Risk Management example material 

  • Monitor technical developments and regulation in the industry to assist/advise AGCS strategic direction. 

 

Key Requirements 

 

  • You have Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Master Degree  

  • At least 7-10 years’ experience principally in power generation, plants maintenance and risk management in an industrial sector (field experience in oil & gas or chemistry would be a plus) 

  • You are a self-starter able to develop and implement initiatives with minimum input from Management 

  • You have a strategic mind-set; future focused 

  • Strong team working ethic and strong communication skills 

  • You can travel on regular basis, mostly in France and occasionally in Europe or beyond 

  • You are fluent in French and in English (Dutch or Italian skills are also appreciated as a plus)
