Summary of Job

As a subject matter expert within the Recievable Mgmt are responsible for the ongoing analysis, collection, and resolution of open premium and deductible receivable balances.  Activities include, but are not limited to, early and late stage collection activities, cancellation processes, submission to outside collection agency, discrepancy resolution, write-off recommendations, escheatment procesees, relationship building, recommendation of write-offs, and adherence to local and global policies.


Key Responsibilites

  • Perform the collection activities for open receivables balances for assigned brokers and matter expert on IIP transactions, which include both written and verbal communications and working with internal and external customers in order to resolve the open balances.                                                                        
  • Be a cross-functional liaison with your business partners both internal and external (may include Operations, Underwriting, IT, Claims, Brokers and other Finance staff) on issues related specifically to Customer Service / Collections and Cash Application and work with the Receivables Management Team to ensure that the needs of all business parterns are being met throughout the department.
  • Accurate and timely analysis of open receivables balances, recommend write-offs where appropriate and process write-offs in accordance with local and global write-off policies, oversight of discrepancy process, and discrepancy resolution when process is complex and / or involved external customers                                                   
  • Maintain and / or build collaborative working relationships with other functional areas, internal, and external customers (Operations, Accounting, Underwriting, Claims, Brokers, etc.) in order to establish and / or improve processes, procedures, workflows, accuracy, and completeness.                                                                          
  • Build and maintain a transparent and collaborative working relationship with the Allianz India team that fosters training, quality assurance, sharing of best practices, etc.  
  • Set the market standard of excellence in all touch points with both internal and external customers. 


Technical Skills and Required Experience

  • Related business experience, ideally in commercial insurance            
  • Proven understanding of credit control practice and principles            
  • Knowledge of business systems such as GG, SAP / EIM, GetPaid            
  • Project and team work in an international and dynamic environment
  • Solid computer literacy, with proficiency in MS365 (Excel, MS Forms, MS Teams, etc.)        
  • Accounting technical knowledge to accurately record accounting transactions        
  • Agile management and principles        
  • Understanding insurance financial statements and their performance measurement incl. Drivers        
  • Ability to handle complex processes (closing, reporting, finance operations) including understanding of data flows
  • Analytical Thinking and Numeracy: Ablility to identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g. ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rapidly distill key issues and provide insight in various situations        
  • Problem Solving Ability: Ability to identify and initiate appropriate actions to remediate issues that can be abstract / ambiguous and follow through on their remediation    
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of         
  • Demonstrable leadership competencies including ability to collaborate with others, adapt to change and accept challenging assignments        
  • Project management: Ability to manage projects (milestone and task planning, managing resources, project controlling, monitoring, and reporting, moderation techniques) and to develop solutions while considering complex stakeholder structures and requirements
  • Bachelors Degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or Business or equal experience
