About the Job

 

The Accounting Associate will be responsible for maintaining timely collections along with the ongoing completion of daily processes for the billing and Collections area (including but not limited to): cash application, premium reminder process, due date updates, discrepancy set up and resolution of discrepancies per the definition of early stage collections.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely allocation of cash receipts to Broker and direct Bill client accounts                                                  
  • Perform the collection activities for early stage open items: collection calls/letters, consult with Operations & Underwriting, timely collection of fees (including ARC Fees, Fronting fees), etc..                                                                            
  • Accurate and timely completion of other daily tasks: correcting due dates, premium offsets, etc.                                                              
  • Accurate and timely analysis of open items, completion of discrepancy set up, and resolution of early stage collection discrepancies.                                 
  • Assist with projects, customer service calls/ emails or late stage collection activities as assigned.                                                                                                           
  • Provide professional and timely customer service to internal and external customers.    
  • Strong interpersonal (written / verbal/ collaborative) communication skills                                        
  • Strong organizational skills / ability to multitask                                        
  • Must be customer service driven, detail oriented and a team player                                        
  • Ability to adapt to change
