Head Data Analytics- Audit. Consulting & Advisory Manager

About the Role:
The Practice Head of Data Analytics will lead the data analytics team within the Internal Audit department. This is a strategic and managerial role requiring a professional with a strong background in data analytics, leadership, and preferably a deep understanding of the audit process within the financial services industry. The role will involve leading a team based in India to provide data analytics testing throughout the audit process. In addition, the role is expected to deliver innovative data-driven insights and support Allianz Group's commitment to developing its data analytics maturity through data analytics services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the data analytics team in India, ensuring high performance, continuous skill development, and effective team dynamics.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in data analytics and audit technology to maintain a leading edge in innovation and best practices.
- Collaborate with other Operating Entities (OEs) to provide data analytics services, fostering a customer-centric approach.
- Drive the adoption of advanced analytics tools and methodologies within the internal audit function.
- Partner with IT and business units to enhance data quality and accessibility for audit purposes.
- Communicate data analytics results of audit analytics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively.
- Lead by example, promoting a culture of integrity and ethical decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in data analytics, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of internal audit processes and risk management/internal control principles.
- Proficiency with data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Ability to drive innovation and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with an international team.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a customer-centric approach to service delivery.
- Experience working in a multinational corporation and managing cross-border teams is preferred.
