What you do:

 

Responsible for leading test efforts and test resources, including large complex QA projects/programs (multiple sub-projects) across functional areas or multiple systems. Works closely and collaboratively with IT and Business Teams, internal and vendor resources to ensure that projects are delivered with quality by adhering to standards, processes and procedures and applying industry best practices where appropriate. Coach and mentor other QA resources, and provide workload management support. Drives and implements opportunities to uplift QA capability.

 

A successful candidate will have background in:

 

  • Pre-project: Provide High Level estimates for project requests
  • Requirements: Participate in Requirements sessions for projects. Review requirement documents and collaborate with vendors and/or colleagues to create test strategy and scope.
  • Test Planning: Review detailed estimates and provide to project team. Provide inputs to vendors/test resources for test plan creation. Collaborate with the business and systems analysts for test scenario creation and review with vendors/test resources. Review/sign off on QA test cases and provide inputs to the Business for UAT plans. Ensure daily/weekly status reports are communicated, including test plan progress against milestones, issues and risks are identified and escalated to PM and Project team. Coordinate/collaborate with other QA leads to ensure interfacing apps/test cases are created and test cycles planned.
  • Test Execution: Coordinate with teams to ensure test execution readiness, including cross-system dependencies. Ensure daily/weekly status reports are communicated, including progress against milestones, issues and risks are identified and escalated to PM and Project team. Provides issue resolution and drives escalation. Ensure right coverage and revision of test cases for Change Requests. Review test results document and communicate/walk through with stakeholders. Ensure all testing standards are met and quality gates are satisfied. Coordinate with Business for UAT execution and defect management and support during UAT execution.
  • Test Closure & Monitoring: Participate in Post-Project review and track post-install incidents for root cause analysis and improvement opportunities. Ensure regression test suites are updated.
  • Identifies opportunities to uplift the QA capability through driving change, innovation and automation improvements.
  • Actively builds relationships with key business and IT stakeholders; communicates and presents information, findings and plans.

 

What you bring:

 

  • 8+ years: SDLC (waterfall and/or agile) and Testing Methodologies; QA methodologies for authoring and executing test suites from business and functional requirements.
  • 4-5 years of experience preferred: Quality Center, QTP & Rational suite test prod

 

Education:

 

  • Four-year degree required: Computer Science, Information Systems, Bus. Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.

 

Licenses/Certifications/Other

 

  • CSQA or equivalent required upon reaching certification eligibility requirement or ability to obtain within 360 days of employment for internal hires; external hires are required to obtain certification within 180 days of employment.
