What you do:

Responsible for leading, managing and overseeing the development of audit methodology, risk assessment, technology and productivity initiatives, and QA while collaborating with Group Audit and other sister operating entities. Also responsible for aiding in the implementation of the strategic direction for the division and periodically serves as work director / supervisor on audits. Accountable for providing mentoring and training to others in the department, serving as an expert on the audit process, ensuring completeness and compliance with Institute of Internal Auditors Standards and Group Policies and managing to the established time table. This role is a direct report of the CAE and an active member of the internal audit leadership team.

 

  • Functional Enablement: Develops and sustains a strong relationship with Global Functional Enablement leads. Involvement in driving and working on global audit functional enablement projects. Continuous refinement and development of our internal audit process including automation and streamlining. Development and implementation of data analytics throughout the audit process. Teammate administration and problem solving. Quality assurance of audits.
  • Ensure timely completion of deliverables and projects for CAE and other projects as assigned.
  • Supervise individual contributors within the IA department during assigned engagements including training, coaching and performance management.
  • Serve as work director on audits and consultative engagements including review and approval of deliverables.
  • Provide tactical management of the annual audit plan including scheduling and monitoring to ensure timely completion of the plan.
  • Serve as the team manager of the respective domain, facilitating a learning environment on pertinent business topics and risk exposures.
  • Serve as the key contact between the business and internal audit including senior management levels.
  • Support effective remediation activities for key risk exposures and audit findings.
  • Ensure compliance with Group, Internal Audit and IIA standards and processes.

 

What you bring:

  • 6-7 years’ experience required: Audit or Insurance Industry related experience, experience in project management or supervision/management.
  • 8-10 years’ experience preferred: Four years’ experience in project management or supervision/management.
  • Four year degree required. Holds applicable certification (e.g. CPA, CIA, CISA).
