What you do:

The role of the Account Manager is to act as the main contact point for an assigned portfolio of multinational clients.

The Account Manager is responsible for overseeing operational service delivery, meeting retention targets and growing the business portfolio with assigned clients. The employing entity for this position will be Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America.

We are looking for a person eager to learn and develop, and who is able to solve problem and think critically.  Training and support will be given, but the ability to work independently will be expected over time.  This is a demanding role serving the needs of some of the world’s most successful companies.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the day to day management of the relationship with assigned Allianz Global Benefits clients
  • Support sales directors with acquisition of new clients
  • Responsible for the implementation, ongoing compliance and monitoring of client service framework for pooling and captive clients in collaboration with network insurers
  • Responsible for establishing excellent business relationships with key contacts at clients including engaging them to support agreed business growth and retention objectives
  • Build and document (internal `salesforce.com`) extensive knowledge of assigned client universe
  • Support and coach network insurers’ sales and distribution teams
  • Build and maintain trusted relationship with regional directors, distribution and

network management teams

  • Promote cross divisional relationships with Allianz OEs and Global Lines operating in the corporate business segment under a One Allianz philosophy
  • Reporting to: Head of Account Management

 

What you bring:

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree
  • A background in insurance is desirable but not essential
  • Work experience in sales or account management is a plus
  • Fluency in languages besides English is an advantage

  • Pragmatic and proactive; ability to think through and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Ability and willingness to work in a multicultural team and environment
  • Strong results orientation, high motivation and drive
  • Client oriented, good interpersonal, intercultural and communication skills

 

Additional Information

 

  • Some business travel, including international, will be required
  • Since this job is international, the ability and willingness to accommodate global time zones is a plus.
