What you do:

This Information Security Risk & Controls Manager is responsible for performing annual, comprehensive

information security risk assessments. As part of the second line of defense, this position will collaborate with IT groups, business groups and project teams to perform security risk analysis for applications, infrastructure and data elements. Working closely with technology leaders to mitigate risks, this position will identify potential areas where existing information security policies and procedures require change, track risk mitigation and report on the overall risk profile of the IT organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with IT groups, business units and other risk management areas to ensure program components meet business needs
  • Identify and assess information security related risks to understand how they impact effectiveness or efficiency of the Information Security Program
  • Build and adjust risk framework elements and integrate them into the enterprise risk management program and framework
  • Work closely with technology, security and business leaders to mitigate risk, identify potential areas where existing information security processes and procedures require change
  • Establish and maintain program effectiveness measures
  • Maintain knowledge of changing technologies and provide recommendations for adaptation of new technologies or policies
  • Consult on complex issues related to information security, risk management or technology


Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • 6-7 years’ experience required: Experience in one or a combination of the following: Information Security, IT systems security or technology experience with at least 3 years direct experience in information security.
  • 3+ years of management experience in an Information Security, IT, or IT compliance environment
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to interact with all levels of an organization Ability to influence and build relationships with business unit stakeholders, CIO leadership, and other customers as needed
  • Ability to report findings and develop business cases to influence executive management or management committee members on the need for controls to mitigate risk
  • 2-3 years’ experience preferred: Information Security Frameworks and standards (FFIEC, NIST, ISO) experience developing, implementing and monitoring risk-based metrics that depict levels of compliance at an enterprise level



- Four-year degree required Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science
