What you do:

Allianz Technology is looking for employees to work remotely and if in person meetings are required employees would go to a central work location in Chicago, Minneapolis, Richmond or Mill Valley (California).

The Commercial Manager will lead project teams, stakeholders, vendors and management to identify, translate and define business requirements for assigned projects, feasibility studies, and preliminary assessments. Follow an established methodology for gathering requirements, conduct business improvement analysis, and complete documentation. Responsible for collection, analysis, review, documentation and communication of business needs and requirements to IT. Leads the gathering of business needs as well as assisting with the design of solution with direct interaction with business unit leaders. Understand and be aware of outcomes and impacts of new requirements to ensure they are aligned with both the IT and Business Unit objectives.

  • Assumes responsibility for order management, invoice checking, cost controlling and benchmarking of the contracts.
  • Establish liaison relationship with business partners in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
  • Translate between technical and business languages.
  • Assess client needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to assist in identifying business priorities. Plan and facilitate requirements sessions to ensure effective use of limited resource availability by setting clear agendas and documenting outcomes (discussions, decisions / agreements, etc.).
  • Own and resolve all issues relating to requirements. Focus on business processes improvements of high complexity that impact one to many assigned client areas. Generally, involves using and improving Information Systems.
  • Provide leadership to project teams and key stakeholders to develop the initiation document and CBA. Identify and agree on approach, scope and objectives.
  • Document and communicate priorities and future phases.
  • Locate, review and research information to determine the meaning and origin of existing business rules and processes.
  • Develop, write, and communicate requirements for the implementation of business solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specification for IT developers or outside vendors. Facilitate commitment and buy-in for changes and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to determine if solutions currently exist (internally or externally) or whether new solutions are feasible. Present viable options back to business.
  • Provide guidance and options on technical solutions.
  • Facilitate feasibility studies for standard development projects and process improvements.
  • Work with Quality Assurance Team and end-users to develop test cases and acceptance criteria and assist in validating test results.
  • Investigate, resolve, and escalate problems. Analyze metrics to ensure customer satisfaction and process improvement opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Commercial Manager team members. Guide team members to facilitate business comprehension of new processes. Responsible for the performance of the team. Coaches and guides performance and development of the team in alignment with Allianz Technology standards.

 

What you bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field, specialized training or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of relevant technical and business work experience
  • Prior experience managing a team
