This position is responsible for the overall leadership of the outsourced insurance desk. The desk provides front line product sales support, including product recommendations, to end clients.  The role is responsible for developing and growing team, capabilities/skills, and the strategy for the desk. The position is responsible for ensuring a favorable client and adviser experience through deploying an investigative approach when sourcing appropriate products for clients.  The position is responsible for resolving escalated matters and liaises with internal colleagues to ensure proper resolution. This role must have a series 6 or 7, 63, 24 or 26, and maintain an active insurance licenses.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

Sales, New Business, and Case Design Support:

•Provide reactive sales support-- Fixed and Variable annuity sales support supporting RIA/IAR Advisory partners

•Provide case design support-- in accordance with RIA/IAR investment philosophies, risk tolerance, etc.

•Provide new business workflow support-- coordinate steps between client and adviser and Allianz to implement insurance solutions.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      


•Responsible for building and leading a team of insurance consultants; responsible for building skills and capabilities of team members ensuring client needs are met

•Mentors, coaches, and develops direct reports

•Leads through influence, persuasion; creates followership and motivates others

•Builds highly productive and collaborative relationships with ASA leadership and our Emerging Markets and Distribution team that predominately supports our fee based advisers.  



•Document product recommendations utilizing CRM Tool/system

•Projects assigned, as needed                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

Minimum Requirements:

– 11+ years experience required: 11+ years experience interacting with sales personnel in Financial Services/Insurance Industry. Must have experience work with RIAs/IARs and direct end client point of sale experience. Strong understanding of RIA eco-system/business model.

– Four-year degree required: Or work equivalent work experience

– FINRA Series 6 or 7, 24 or 26, 63 and maintain an active insurance license(s).




– Series 7 and 24 : Series 7 and 24 are preferred

– Designations: CFA, CIMA, CFP, CLU, ChFC, RICP or other industry designations preferred
