What you do:

The internal communications specialist is responsible for writing and editing clear and engaging communications that drive employee engagement and build understanding of cultural and business initiatives. This individual contributes to developing and executing communication plans and producing high-quality written and visual communications using AP style. The communications specialist also manages internal communications processes, including producing intranet content, supporting department workflows (e.g. editorial calendars, analytics reporting, etc.), and developing large-scale meeting and event content. This role is part of the Internal Communications team and is accountable for supporting internal communications channels, including our intranet, onsite TVs, meetings and more.


  • Communications Planning: Manage strategic communication plans and deliverables for specific initiatives, (e.g., facilities, community relations, engagement survey, etc.)
  • Communications creation: Develop and implement communications activities – write, edit and build intranet/newsletter content, develop presentations, create visual promotions
  • Communications channel management: Manage internal communications processes, including editorial calendars, building content on intranet platform, managing onsite digital signage, creating newsletters, managing internal communications mailbox, etc.
  • Meeting support: Assist in content development and management of logistics for employee meetings and activities, such as large-scale meetings, recognition ceremonies and more
  • Reporting: Manage Google analytics and provide analysis that helps the team measure results and inform editorial content


What you bring:

  • 4+ years’ experience required; 5+ years’ experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Insurance industry knowledge preferred
