What you do:

Internal RIA Wholesaler for annuities and ETFs.  The position of an Internal RIA Wholesaler is to increase sales of Allianz products through direct contact with investment advisers, lead generation, external wholesaler support and leveraging RIA relationships. Position is responsible for placing outgoing calls to increase the territory’s sales goals. Calls will consist of prospecting and retention of advisers. Inbound calls will deal with product recommendations, sales support and closing sales. This position is responsible for being a resource to others in their territory and expected to effectively answer all questions and proactively assist external wholesalers.

Activity and Results: Meet and exceed insurance and ETF revenue and activity performance benchmarks: Dials, Conversations, Leads, New adviser activations, Retention sales. Utilize each contact as an opportunity to gain a commitment from the adviser for insurance or ETF business. Utilize each contact as an opportunity to build a relationship and understand how to provide value to the advisors business. Utilize database and other tracking methods to track advisor production levels on current and proposed sales activity.

Time Management: Effective use of the day, inbound phone coverage. Be responsive and proactive in contacting current and prospective advisers and OID partners in order to retain and help grow their utilization of Allianz’s and ETF offerings.

Territory Management: Manage workload and external partner(s) relationships expectations to reach goals. Establish profile information, and qualify advisors business focus. Leverage External Wholesaling partnership and value by effectively communicating and coordination. Strong understanding and utilization of zones, rotations and reports for IXI opportunity.

Sales Effectiveness: Ability to be a professional inside sales person that advances the insurance and ETF sales process. Promote/sell Allianz insurance and ETF products and solutions by way of a consultative sales approach; which includes but it not limited to positioning: insurance and ETF product features, value add systems, continuing education programs, sales illustrations, sub-account features and performance, RIA platform offering including eco-system integrations, working with OID partners and strength of brand. Work with advisers through various roadblocks that occur when recommending Allianz solutions. Strong understanding and utilization of Advanced Markets concepts, competitive intelligence and positioning of our investment options.

Sales Desk Resource & Interaction with Enterprise: Resource for the entire RIA team by identifying trends in both inbound and outbound capacities. Demonstrate leadership behaviors: positive, solution-oriented, accountable, self-directed, exemplifies Allianz Life Core Values. Generate and communicate adviser activity and pertinent information to Management. Collaborate with External Sales Team and Operations to work together on service issues and MIA recovery. Communicate industry trends and competitor information to appropriate people. Communicate field reaction to product rollout marketing strategy and existing product marketing efforts. Embrace and demonstrate leadership with RIA initiatives.

What you bring:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of experience required in the Financial Services Industry
  • Four year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Licensing:  FINRA Series 7 & 63, Life insurance license
  • Aggressively advancing their career through approved college degree or completion of a relevant industry designation such as CFP, ChFC, CLU, CFA or CRPC.

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, communication, economics or related field.

Ability to work during the hours of 7:00 am – 6:00 pm CST.  Comfortable with talking on the phone as their primary activity.  Ability to attend evening business functions.  Potential to travel on a limited basis.

Job may require periods of stooping, bending, sitting or standing.
