The Communications Manager serves as the local narrator of the Allianz Technology experience. This key role drives the direction, innovation and development of communications channel(s) as well as builds the strategy and timely execution of communications plans, the foundation of successful operations and a strong company culture. You will provide expert consultation to the executive leadership team on the development of communication strategies supporting efficient operations, business relationships, and our unique technology culture. Not only will you create the presentations, articles, and announcements which engage, inform, and educated our team, but you will help guide the strategy for the delivery. This person chosen for this position will work closely with executives, experts and the global communications team colleagues to identify communication opportunities and develop multimedia materials for internal channels.

A successful candidate will have background in:


  • Support the CEO and executive team in communication matters, including writing articles, briefings and presentations for company employee meetings, board presentations, crisis communications, and key staff announcements.
  • Develop and implement internal communication strategy in line with Allianz Technology strategy
  • Work with a network of global colleagues to gather information, define messaging and support communication activities in Allianz Technology
  • Maintain a pulse on the organization to curate topics for internal communications which inform, educate, and inspire.
  • Communicate during a crisis, develop the right framing, and partner with relevant partners
  • Engage directly with employees to promote a culture of feedback and respect
  • Manage and maintain communication channel(s) and makes decisions about the strategic direction of the channel(s)
  • Drive innovation in communications approaches and tactics
  • Support in the distribution of newsletters, announcements, as well as leading the maintenance of internal distribution lists
  • Maintains a calendar of internal communication activities, overseeing an active schedule of events and internal publications, supporting the delivery of Allianz Technology’s internal communications plans
  • Ad hoc proofreading, consultancy and input as required


 What you bring:


  •  6+ years’ experience required; 8+ preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, able to communicate ideas in different formats and situations for different audiences
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience and comfort with executive leaders; excellent interpersonal & relationship building skills
  • Ability to understand complex subject matter and repurpose for internal audiences
  • Keen interest in technology and the technology sector
  • Strong eye for detail and accuracy 
  • Proven digital, creative and presentation skills desirable
  • Strong news sense, interest and experience in social media
  • Proven intercultural skills and an international outlook and desire to work as part of a global team
  • A self-starter who will be willing to get involved in all areas of the business and function 
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful scenarios and the flexibility to meet changing requirements
  • Ability to pivot, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage critical situations
