What you do:

This position requires deep technical knowledge of Allianz Life products to allow for the understanding and advocating of Allianz products within financial planning software/digital advice arena.  Technology, This position is responsible for supporting all channels of Distribution by providing in-market technology sales consulting to our internal and external wholesalers, financial advisors, FMOs, broker dealers, RIAs and intermediaries we serve. This role focuses on helping wholesalers and financial professionals utilize financial and insurance technology solutions, digital advice and financial planning software to grow their business and find annuity, life and/or risk management sales opportunities. The primary focus of this role will be delivering sales related technology-focused presentations at conferences, field events and office meetings. As a component of this role, they will provide tailored guidance to our top financial advisor clients and broker-dealer firms on how to successfully implement technology.


Create and execute Distribution initiatives that support and drive sales through technology/digital advice.  Serve as a consultant for home office teams such as DRM, Internal and External Sales, on topics of impact to the field and key technology rollouts and initiatives. This role will also help develop content, including presentations that are approved for Continuing Education credit, business builders and new marketing materials to support sales and distribution. Ensure coordination with our Brand and Legal, Ethics and Compliance departments on changes and development of sales training material. This person must be proactive and be comfortable influencing and making recommendations to leadership. 


Program Design and Delivery:
Deliver new technology initiatives and roll outs, on boarding, market updates/ impacts and economic cycles. Serve as SME between Advanced Markets, New Markets, Marketing, Distribution Relationship Management and all other Distribution channels to drive adoption and understanding of technology/digital advice tools. .Create a presence in the field with business partners, back office visits, rep meetings, workshops and group presentations (in partnership with external sales/wholesalers).


Expected to provide the "voice of the field" back to our home office teams, providing guidance on future technology needs and ongoing enhancements Communicate sales trends and topics with key stakeholders and integrate into technology/digital advice materials. Partner with Leadership to define and develop communication/marketing plans for digital advice content. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency of marketing message and alignment with digital advice tools. Understand and communicate producer needs and challenges with technology/digital advice tools.

Needs Analysis:
Work with Distribution stakeholders to identify technology/digital advice needs, conduct effective needs analysis, for external sessions and opportunities. Review and evaluate program effectiveness to ensure it is meeting or exceeding technology/digital advice usage and training metrics.  Measure and communicate results as appropriate.




What you bring:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 6-7 years of experience required
  • Four year degree required
  • MN Life Insurance license
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7, Series 63, Series 26 or 24


  • Advanced degree preferred:  CFP preferred

Travel approximately 50% of time
