What you do:

The Corporate/Marketing Strategy Principal Analyst is a core member of the Corporate Strategy Team, responsible for assisting in executing the Corporate Strategy. This new position is critical to the overall strategy to bring new, innovative thinking and problem-solving to Allianz. This role will support the strategic initiatives for cross-enterprise, Allianz wide initiatives. Projects include assisting in building the annual Strategy, developing related business plans and acting as a change management champion within the Company. This involves researching the competitive environment, evaluating company capabilities and assisting with the development and documentation of strategic plans. In addition, this position is a key working member of various project teams including the Corporate Innovation programs, helping to develop and document business plans to drive the implementation of strategic priorities. This position is also responsible for creating PowerPoint presentations and delivering key messages to Senior Management and other key stakeholders. The candidate’s ability to remain highly organized in a dynamic and evolving environment, ability to engage seamlessly at all levels of the organization (and externally), and ability to seamlessly execute will be highly valued.

 

These activities will shift over time as priorities change, and may include:

  • Assist in development of strategic plans
  • Support all facets of strategy projects ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures including: financial forecasting, headcount planning, audit & control, and centralized policy/reporting
  • Manage $MM budget responsibilities for strategy initiatives by partnering with project managers to define scope of effort, work deliverables, and project plans
  • Plan and support innovation activities and events (ex. prototype events, and similar showcase events)
  • Create and drive communications to broad audiences on behalf of Strategy Leadership
  • Identify and solve team needs across information access, tools, spaces, etc. and employ company resources to meet the needs
  • Support building a Long Term Strategy model, developing and executing key strategies, and adding capabilities in support of the future needs
  • Partner directly with other corporate, brand, and regional teams
  • Create and manage business cases, measurement models to evaluate individual and across portfolio efforts (ex. pilots and proof of concepts)

 

What you bring:

  • 6+ years’ experience required: Minimum 4 years work experience in financial services industry. Minimum 3 years of experience working on marketing and consumer strategies and communication plans. Solid understanding of annuities, life insurance, and investment options/mutual funds.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Collaborative relationship building skills with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to build relationships cross-functionally and lead toward common goals, proven record of successfully managing executive relationships.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Experience leading cross functional teams and extracting the best from each team member
  • Track record of taking action “getting things done” with minimal guidance
  • Ability to pull details and use structure to execute on initiatives
  • Intermediate proficiency within MS Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated experience supporting complex, high visibility, cross-enterprise programs and events
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity and ever-changing timelines and business assumptions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to align diverse populations: capable of effectively presenting ideas; excellent writer, proven ability to communicate effectively with executive-levels
  • Proven planning capabilities, including communications, events, and projects
  • Ability to translate program strategic vision into roadmap and execution plans
  • Ability to triage and prioritize based on business or program need

Preferred:

  • 8+  years’ experience preferred: Experience with creating and designing executive presentations preferred.
  • Industry Experience in Financial Services and/or Insurance with a strong understanding or ability to learn about annuity solutions and distribution channels.
