What you do:


Responsible for reviewing, negotiating and facilitating approvals of contracts with non-insurance vendors under general direction from Management, while adhering to the Purchasing & Contracting Policy and sourcing governance; ownership of vendor enterprise vendor relationships, systems administration of vendor-related tools, analysis of the marketplace, generating and analyzing reports, and other activities in support of the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Team.


A successful candidate will have background in:


  • Develop Requests for Quote (RFQs), Statements of Work/Requirements, and review and negotiate low-value, low risk contracts (from templates and supplier paper) with vendors, adhering to sourcing governance.
  • Support Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and scoring/evaluation engagements under the leadership of Sourcing Managers.
  • Develop relationships with key Business Areas, including interviewing users to determine parameters of proposed transactions.
  • Vendor Management of enterprise products and services, including dispute resolution, customer service, system administration, and analysis of trends for expense reduction.
  • Manage sourcing-related process and systems, including participation in project teams to select new systems.
  • Continuously improve the accuracy, efficiency and results of the vendor related processes.


 What you bring:


  • 4-5 years of experience required: Purchasing/Contract experience
  • High school diploma required
  • Four-year degree preferred: BS/BA degree and/or CPM Certificate
