What you do:

Drives financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and strategic solutions in order to maximize the financial position of the CAO – IT Function.   Monitors and manages expenses as well as other financial measures of the CAO. This role is a key member of the team focused on the financial operation, analysis, and transformation of the CAO financial analysis and reporting functions.   This position reports to the CAO Finance Director.

 

  • Analyzes and interprets complex performance data and compiles reports and recommendations to CAO management for meeting financial targets. Meets regularly with CAO Management and Corporate Finance for budget and spend analysis. Proposes opportunities for financial changes. Drives expenses under management, budgeting, forecasting and analysis for CAO.
  • Assesses complex business cases and cost benefit analysis including benefit tracking.  Provides variance and root cause analysis to support business decisions. Identifies key risks and/or opportunities and strategically influences possible solutions. Builds strong, positive relationships across all levels of the organization and influences business partners’ goals, priorities and strategies solutions/outcomes.
  • Prepares, consolidates and distributes CAO department budgets and related reports for more complex cost centers in partnership with Finance ensuring consistent results and messaging.   Provides guidance to others on areas to scrutinize during budget preparation.
  • Consolidate and analyzes monthly performance metrics for more complex areas of CAO activities. Prepares monthly trend reports for leadership review.
  • Presents and communicates results of financial modeling & analysis within CAO.
  • Review and improve team processes and collaborate with other divisions to ensure processes intersecting CAO financials are effective.  Identifies financial areas for improvement in team
  • Lead benchmarking initiatives for CAO and Allianz SE financial reporting and requests.

 

What you bring:

  • 8-10 years’ experience required: 8 + years of Information Technology experience required.
  • Four-year degree required: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred: Experience with IT in a Financial Services Organization
  • Experience in using complex MS Excel models
