What you do:
You will be part of the Asset Liability Management (ALM) team within AIM Investment Management. You will manage (1) driving Asset Liability Management (ALM) model development and maintenance, (2) providing regular ALM reporting and analysis, and (3) perform asset-driven analysis necessary for financial reporting (assumption setting, cash flow testing, PBR/C3P2 based asset selection, etc.). Close coordination and partnership is expected with the following areas: product development / management / reporting functions in Actuarial, Corporate Risk Management, and other team members in Investment Management. You will report to the AIM VP - ALM
· Guide ALM model development and maintenance providing direction and modelling support to improve ALM modelling capability. Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time, decisions are supported by analysis, and build proof of concept models
· Guide one-off ALM analysis modifying ALM model functionality
· Partner with Portfolio Management team to analyze and prepare recommendations to manage interest rate risk, credit risk, capital, and liquidity. Additionally, partner with portfolio management team on the SAA process and in assessing new investment strategies, allocations or transactions
· Prepare regular reporting and conduct appropriate analysis of ALM position to help improve ALM position of the company and overall risk management
· Complete asset-based reporting requirements and related analysis, including requirements for assumption setting, cash flow testing, PBR/C3P2 based asset selection.
What you bring:
· 6+ years’ experience required
· Life insurance/annuity ALM experience, ALM modelling, and model building/development experience
· The ability to work independently and collaborating within a team
· Proficient in Excel/VBA, C++, SQL, FactSet, Intex/Dealmaker, AdCo, actuarial modelling software such as MoSes/RiskAgility Financial Modeler, etc.
· Advanced degree preferred: Masters/MBA, ASA/FSA, CFA, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related technical field or 4-year degree + certification in technical field
