What you do:

Support daily trading activity in liquid markets and daily management of internal insurance company portfolios.  Assist in the development and implementation of financial analysis for broker/bank relationship, management of liquidity including cash management and forecasting, and general account portfolio monitoring and reporting. Trade fixed income and related securities authorized by portfolio management teams.  Support borrowing programs including FHLB relationship and securities lending program.

 

Position requires using various internal as well as external software applications such as Factset, Bloomberg professional and other investment management tools. The analyst will be responsible for completing liquidity reports on a daily basis.

 

  • Support daily functions relating to trading and cash funding for internal clients of the investment management group.
  • Provide various reporting and analysis on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Maintain control of documentation for internal and external auditors
  • Work with the operations group to help facilitate timely settlement of trades and daily analysis of securities analytics.
  • General support of capital markets and portfolio management teams

 

What you bring:

  • 4 year degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent business experience required
  • Insurance, banking, and/or financial background required
  • Pursuit of CFA, MBA preferred
  • 1-3 years business experience required
  • Strong computer skills including advanced Excel using macros and Access required
  • Banking or insurance investment experience preferred
  • Cash management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg professional preferred
  • Some capital markets or trading experience preferred
