Department description / job purpose / role:


Allianz SE is the global headquarter of the Allianz Group. Our Group Risk department ensures the excellence in risk modeling and risk management for the Allianz Group and it's subsidiaries. Group Risk provides ownership and subject matter expertise for risk models, which includes developing guidelines and frameworks, governance and support for the internal risk capital model as well as the standard model.

The Working Student (f/m/d) Risk Analysis for Alternative Assets will be embedded in Group Risk`s Center of Competence for alternative assets, and is supporting risk analysis & modeling of investments in e.g. real estate, private equity, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects.


Job Purpose/Role:

• Perform quantitative analysis and research for calibration of risk models (e.g. stochastic discounted cash flow models & time-series based models)
• Contribute to Solvency II internal model development (including documentation), /-update and /-validation as neeeded


Key Requirements/Skills/ Experience:



• Enrolled at a university for the entire duration of employment
• Practical experience in Monte-Carlo simulation methods and/or time-series analysis
• Proficient knowledge of statistical programming language R
• Ideally already completed undergraduate studies in statistics/econometrics, mathematics or related field of study




• Fluent in Business English; German would be a plus
• Strong analytical skills, fast learner and attentive to details
• High motivation to learn about alternative assets with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
