Position Summary

 

The Global Retirement & Wealth Propositions is a function within the Allianz Group’s headquarters (Allianz SE) that is responsible for driving the growth of retirement and wealth management businesses across Allianz’s globe-spanning life insurance operating entities.

 

As a Market Development Lead, you will help shape the strategy and implementation of individual operating entities in their retirement and wealth related initiatives. Your exposure will be diverse, and can range from developing a market entry strategy into a new segment, evaluating a M&A opportunity, analyzing and developing new offerings to respond to competition etc.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

•    Identify opportunities within the retirement and wealth space with our operating entities (OEs), with evaluation of “where to play” and “how to win” elements.
•    Evaluate business plans that have been proposed by different OEs and provide key insights and recommendations to senior management on these proposals.
•    Drive or assist the building of business cases for specific initiatives in the retirement and wealth segments with the support of internal and external experts.
•    Facilitate the engagement of key stakeholders within the OEs and Group headquarters for various initiatives (i.e. new opportunities vs. in-flight activities) to eliminate potential decision or executional bottlenecks.
•    Keep up to date on market developments (e.g. regulatory changes, competitor actions) to identify opportune windows for implementation in high potential markets. 
•    Construct analyses and presentations for senior management on various key topics on an as-required basis

 

Required Qualifications & Experiences

 

•    Bachelor’s degree in a business, economics, or relevant field
•    5+ years of experience from either management consulting, wealth or asset management, private or investment banking, or life insurance 
•    Robust qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, and the ability to synthesize large amounts of information to drive management decisions
•    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to persuasively interact with senior stakeholders
•    Strong communication skills in delivering compelling presentations, facilitate workshops/ working sessions and clearly articulate ideas
•    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
