Job purpose / Role 

Allianz Re is a division of Allianz SE within the H9 resort and is based in Munich, Singapore, Dublin, and Zurich. Allianz Re mainly offers reinsurance protection for Allianz internal and external customers. Within the business area of Advisory & Services, Allianz Re is hosting the Global Insurance Management (GIM) department. AZ-GIM is the in-house broker responsible for ensuring that the assets of Allianz, its buildings, people and businesses are insured. 
For the AZ-GIM team, AZ Re is looking for a motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to take responsibility for AZ Group’s global insurance program. This includes partial responsibility for local insurance service and consulting tasks focusing on D&O and other Financial Lines insurance.

 

Key responsibilities

 

Role and Responsibilities 
Enable Allianz entities to maximize their benefits by joining Group programs:

  • Orchestrate activities between Allianz entities, international risk carriers and global brokers across all lines of business, divisions and / or markets
  • Advise operating entities in insurance matters related to “own risks” by promoting a risk transfer approach
  • Align stakeholders across the Group and function as the voice of the Group to create transparency of insurance costs and penetration
  • Act as Contract Manager by owning the complete policy lifetime for one or more Financial Lines Group insurance covers, including Group charging methodologies
  • Run program management in close alignment with Group functions, particularly Group Tax and Group Risk, specifically regarding international regulation compliance.
  • Support Head of GIM on global strategy execution 

 

Tasks & Activities
Delivering on our commitments to the following:

  • Developing relationships with stakeholders
  • Continuously expand network internally and externally (global brokers, international risk carriers)
  • Conducting gap analysis on the current status of client’s scope of cover and providing recommendations to achieve best-in-class coverages
  • Consulting OEs in all insurance matters and find adequate solutions for the entities
  • Driving and monitoring business opportunities across regions / AZ entities / LoB
  • Constantly monitoring market developments and new product offerings to ensure best-in-class products for AZ Group, maintain global data collections, evaluate and improve global and local programs 
  • Taking full responsibility and accountability for AZ Group insurance programs
  • Orchestrate stakeholders and group decision bodies to obtain a decision for placements and contract closure in a timely manner
  • Conducting yearly risk surveys and risk dialogues with the insurers
  • Simplifying and standardizing processes along the value chain of AZ Group Insurance programs
  • Acting as day-to-day contact for overarching internal and external requests 

 

Qualifications

  • University degree with insurance focus and / or equivalent job experience in the insurance industry. 
  • Global P&C Silver Accreditation mandatory or equivalent.
  • Excellent English skills required (verbal and written). Minimum one additional core market language at a high proficiency level (Germany, French or Spain). 
  • Knowledge of law and insurance regulations in various jurisdictions.

- Continually delivering improved service offerings perceived as valuable or as best practice

  • Demonstrate core values such as reliability and integrity in daily business
  • Experienced in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • High affinity for Financial Lines insurance 

 

Experience

  • More than six years of experience in the insurance industry 
  • Solid technical knowledge of at least one of the Financial Lines  
  • Extensive experience in client-facing roles (minimum three years)
  • Comprehensive experience in negotiation and communication with C-Level (more than one year) 
  • Proven record of managing international insurance programs
  • International environment experience is a plus
  • Experience in project management is necessary
