Job purpose/role
The Alternative Investments Real Assets team within AIM SE is responsible for the asset classes Real Estate, Private Equity, Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Equity. It forms the link between the Allianz Group sponsors (individual insurance companies) and the various asset managers in these asset classes. The team is based in Munich.


Key responsibilities

  • As an integral part of the Investment Strategy department in AIM SE you will be supporting the Alternative Investments team to:
  • Contribute to evaluating transactions;
  • Independently prepare regular investment reporting and support in investment monitoring by using and further developing an investment database in MS Access;
  • Research new strategy ideas and support on ad hoc tasks, transaction specifics and investment strategy presentations.


Key requirements / Skills /Experience

  • Advanced stage of your degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or similar with solid credentials;
  • You must be enrolled in university during the whole duration of your internship. Please provide proof of your student status (matriculation certificate or equivalent);
  • Fluent in English (German would be a plus);
  • Please submit your resume and cover letter (max. 400 words)  in English and include the following:

 - Your motivation to do an internship in the alternative equity space;
- How you learned about the opportunity;
- Your availability, including exact start and end dates;
- Expected end date of your student status.


Experience & Key skills 

  • Proactive and independent work approach;
  • Strong interest in investments;
  • Analytical and structured thinking;
  • Self-learner, motivated and able twork in an international, dynamic team;
  • Very good knowledge in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.


Additional information

  • Start: February 2022
  • Duration: ideally 6 months, full-time
