Who will you join?
Group Accounting & Reporting provides reliable, high quality financial information to management, investors, analysts, regulators and the general public through external reporting.
How can you make an impact?
You will:
- Be responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual HGB, IFRS and MVBS / Solvency II accounts of Allianz Re (reinsurance related)
- Support Allianz Re branches and subsidiaries (Ireland, Singapore, Labuan, PetalumaUSA, Switzerland) in all accounting-related questions as well as with communication to their local regulator
- Resolve reinsurance-related conceptual accounting topics under HGB, IFRS and Solvency II and set reinsurance accounting policies together with GAR-APD
- Collaborate and align with external auditors on Allianz Re matters to support an unqualified audit opinion for Allianz SE
- Manage a team of 10 professional staff members
- Strive for continuous improvement of processes and operations within Allianz Re Accounting/Closing
- Act a primary accounting contact for Allianz Re top management and business and support by providing accounting advice to complex transactions
- Represent Allianz Re accounting in various councils and committees, such as TEC (Tax Expert Council), LIMCO (Local Investment Management Committee), Reserve Committee, FRDC (Financial Reporting Disclosure Committee) and Closing Meeting
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree – preferably in Accounting, Finance, IT, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics
- 5+ Years of related experience
- Deep HGB, IFRS and MVBS knowledge
- Profound SAP knowledge
- Deep understanding of accounting processes
- Fluent written and verbal conversational skills in German and English
- Experience in communicating to top management, business and external auditor
- Process and project management skills
- Experience in leading and guiding a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead and motivate team members
- Ability to handle complex situations and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner
- Strong analytical skills
- Highly organized and structured
Preferred Qualifications:
- Besides your accounting knowledge, you also provide an understanding for technical issues
- You enjoy designing and optimizing processes independently
- Previous experience in business related functions (i.e., Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
