Job purpose / Role:

The CEO of Allianz Re is looking for an Executive Assistant to help coordinate and drive strategic initiatives and cross-functional collaboration within the Allianz Group. The position can be filled full time or part time.


Key responsibilities

  • Support CEO in day-to-day activities, drive strategic projects, prepare presentations, decision proposals, and respond to internal and external inquiries
  • Critically review proposals to the CEO, draft and conceptualize plausible reactions and provide sound council for requests requiring CEO attention
  • Act as representative of CEO office, co-ordinate strategic and cross-functional initiatives and ensure timely preparation together with Functional Board members and Heads of Departments (e.g. Strategic / Planning Dialogue)
  • Act as interface to the CEO for Group strategic projects
  • Support Allianz Re Board in planning, prioritizing and monitoring of key corporate initiatives and projects (e.g. Strategy Circle, International Reinsurance Workshop)
  • Coordinate and participate in project work that requires the attention or representation of the CEO



  • Excellent university degree with a focus on finance, economics, mathematics or related subjects
  • Fluent in English and ideally German, additional languages a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including preparing presentations


Experience & Key skills:

  • Ideally 2-5 years professional experience in the (re)insurance industry, consulting or investment banking
  • Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis
  • High integrity and trustworthiness (handling of confidential information)
  • Firm understanding of insurance business and financial markets
  • Strong project, organizational and time management skills 
  • Strong communication skills and familiarity in dealing with senior management
  • Proven track record of high customer focus and an entrepreneurial mind-set while achieving sustainable results
  • Highly motivated, flexible, and pro-active team player with a can-do attitude
