JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

Join us as Data Analyst for ETL processes and become part of a team of motivated experts. At IDS GmbH we combine Finance and IT know-how to get maximum value out of the data for our clients. Our team is responsible for providing high-quality data to downstream services, supporting the reporting and decision-making process of one of the world’s leading financial institutions. In this role you will gain deep insights into the underlying data model of a major financial company, from a technical as well as a business perspective.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise data flows and proper processing within our services “Data Sourcing” and “Data Exports” which are responsible for in- and outbound file delivery
  • Ensure smooth data processing and the achievement of agreed data quality standards in close cooperation with the team, developers and external providers
  • Resolve service disruptions, e.g. file transfer issues, and provide a Root Cause Analysis
  • Handle complex client inquiries, e.g. analyzing data flows and validating results
  • Proactively identify process improvements and work with experts from other departments to ensure the continuous improvement of our services
  • Support the definition of KPIs for the service delivery to our clients
  • Participate in projects to implement new client requirements like the onboarding of new data sources

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in (Business) Informatics, computer science and/or equivalent working experience in IT
  • Experience in working with ETL tools, especially Informatica PowerCenter, is an advantage
  • High data affinity and experience in data analysis, preferably with relational databases (SQL, PL/SQL)
  • Basic understanding of shell scripts, Python and Unix is an advantage
  • High responsibility, service attitude and process-oriented thinking
  • Basic knowledge of financial data is an advantage
  • Experience in working with or management of service providers is an advantage
  • Team player mentality, creativity and problem-solving mentality
  • Fluent in English, German is an advantage
