Job Purpose/ Role 
Audit Project Manager manages large scale and cross-functional audits with in-depth knowledge and experience in several business areas. An Audit Project Manager you will be considered as an expert leading audit investigations, findings and reporting around the world. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting risk assessments at process level for the development of Allianz Partners Annual Internal Audit Plan; 
  • Executing assignments in accordance with the Allianz Partners Annual Internal Audit Plan and with Group and IIA standards;
  • Preparing  Audit Planning Memorandum, Audit Working Program and requested document list for each assignment for approval by Regional Audit Heads;
  • Holding opening and closing meetings with the relevant stakeholders to commence audit and to discuss observations at the end of the audit respectively;
  • Examining the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance and the efficiency of the operational processes;
  • Ensuring that in-depth and well documented audit work has been performed with adequate working papers maintained for each assignment;
  • Supervising auditors throughout the given assignment and actively contributing to the development of skills and competences of auditors under his/her responsibility by providing regular feedback during & after audit assignments;
  • Preparing a written closing presentation and audit report to present audit findings and conclusions. They will include recommendations to Management and suggestions for improving the overall internal control environment;
  • Challenging and agreeing management action plans before issuing a final report;
  • Developing and managing relationships with Heads of Functions in Business Units and eventually establish full relationship management with local CEOs.
  • Participate in the follow up reviews for respective areas to ensure that audit recommendations raised have been implemented by the due date.

 

Key Requirements/ Skills

  • You will be someone with 6+ years experience managing audit projects and leading people through to audit outcomes        
  • Proven experience in risk assessment for risk-based audits        
  • You will be an expert in the art of using Interviewing techniques and be someone who is curious to further identify, explore and report on areas of opportunity
  • Have previous experience in project management
  • Be someone who can communice the right way / time / tone and be able to negotiate with different hierarchies        
  • You will be proficient in both English and German, with the ability to write and speak on both languages
