Job Purpose/Role
As Accounting and Closing Expert in the department "Accounting & Reporting Allianz SE" you will be part of the
Accounting / Closing team of Allianz SE.
The Accounting / Closing team is in charge of accounting and reporting requirements under IFRS, HGB and
Solvency II for Allianz SE, the holding and reinsurance company of Allianz Group. The responsibilities of this team
range from accounting policy guidance, preparation of quarterly and annual closings, planning and analysis of
financial data to presentation of results to various internal and external stakeholders
(Management/Supervisor/Public). Moreover Accounting / Closing team will provide accounting and closing
services to other insurance subsidiaries of Allianz SE.
Within this team you will take a pivotal role in the monthly and quarterly accounting closing tasks as well as actively
support preparation of the financial statements for other insurance subsidiaries of Allianz SE.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS and HGB
  • Contribute towards an effective reporting process including efficient use of reporting tools
  • Responsible especially for ECCS consolidation process, non-insurance provision as pension, HR and other provision as well as asset ledger and calculation of deferred taxes.
  • Support Solvency II (Market Value Balance Sheet and QRT) reporting
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders like Controlling, Risk and external auditors

 

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
Qualification:

  • Excellent University degree in economics, finance or related field
  • Very good accounting knowledge in IFRS, MVBS, HGB
  • Fluent in English and German, good communication skills

 

Experience and key skills:

  • Relevant working experience (e.g. in accounting, finance)
  • Experience with SAP or other accounting systems, Microsoft Office (esp. MS Excel and PowerPoint) and other IT reporting tools
  • Very good analytical skills
  • Highly organized and risk oriented approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Result orientation and the capability to work under time pressure and manage deadlines
