The team “IT Tools and Infrastructure” supports numerous applications including those used to support internal processes, to provide reporting services around the central IDS data warehouse.

In a rapidly changing world this role provides the opportunity to constantly learn new skills and technologies as well as to develop knowledge of ITIL processes, security and IT migration projects. As part of a dynamic team, your key responsibilities will be to support the setup and deployment of applications primarily based on Linux and several Cloud Technologies. In this role you have to possibility to work with state-of-the-art technologies like Kubernetes, Jenkins, etc.

You could expect flat hierarchies in which experts with a wide variety of technical and professional backgrounds work together across teams on exciting projects. Apart from that we offer an extensive onboarding program to support your entry into IDS GmbH.



  • Work with the team to build and design a cloud concept and infrastructure as well as supporting processes to ensure the necessary security and governance requirements are implemented and maintained
  • Manage the configuration, maintenance, enhancement and support of commercial software packages, internally developed applications and web services
  • Manage the customization and addition of new features to commercial software packages and internally developed applications according to business requirements
  • Support in 3rd level operational issues of the various applications
  • Provide technical support to 1st and 2nd level operations teams as well as training, transition to production and all related documentation
  • Work within a change and release driven structure, mainly in project teams, to ensure deadlines are met and communication of current status is provided regularly and concisely



  • University degree / Apprenticeship in (business) information technology, mathematics, economics with IT focus or comparable degree or
  • Experience with at least one cloud provider (IDS builds upon Azure as cloud provider)
  • Experience with Kubernetes and automation via CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge in the setup and maintenance of Cloud Central Monitoring and Central Logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and ELK Stack is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Cloud architecture concepts & principles with experience in Change and/or 3rd level technical teams is desired
  • Understanding of IT security concepts, hardening and best practice approaches is an advantage
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes especially in regard to change and release management is a plus
  • Excellent customer orientation as well as excellent communication skills within a team and towards internal customers
  • Fluent in English, German language skills highly appreciated
